Kawasaki was trying to help us by adding the center tank protection for the 14R's.
what? Did they put a big sticker on there or something? What is the point? that will get scuffed up eventually prolly quicker than paint.
if there is a plastic film over the sticker, don't take it off separately from the paper part or you will have a huge mess to scrape off.
...IMO, Goof Off was next to useless to clean off the above mentioned mess from the fuel type stickers on my busa tank. I'd just try denayured alchohol on paint. Use a microfiber cloth.
I guess I am assuming this is a huge sticker they pasted on where your crotch adn abdomin will contact the tank. Why not just leave it on? A magKnight will stick over that just the same as if it was not there at all.
Just got a CF look MagKnight for my 14. Nice. Only 2 complaints right now. It has a few tiny bubnbles where the top laminate has separated from the under layer. Looks a little crappy even brand new. I wouldn't complain over a small blemmish but this was +$100!!
Also, the right side does not seem to be sticking to the tank at the top forwardmost point. Not much magnetup there at hat skinny part. Haven't hit the protector with a heat gun yet --that will prolly help a lot.
If I didn't have the stripes on my bike, I would go with TechSpec. Looks great on the 14 and it is not just for protecting the finish but also a nice performance mod if you hang off the side.
TECHSPEC
If lightweight is your thing, pretty hard to beat a vinyl bra for full coverage protection.
