Boz Bros and More
01/23/13 3:51 PM

Had some time this afternoon so installed a pair of Boz Bros Street Core Slip-ons that were made for a 2006-07 Zx14 but I adapted them to my 2012 ZX14R. FWIW a 2 1/4" OD or a 2 1/8" ID exhaust adapter from Auto Zone fits perfectly over the header. Also installed a Zero Gravity Sport Touring Windscreen and my GenMar riser caps. The exhaust seems very quiet at highway speeds but so much air from the windscreen now hits my head I am not sure really how quiet it is. I have to put the stock windscreen back on and try it again. The windscreen blocks air from my torso but sure puts a lot more on my head. Not sure if I like the windscreen. Sure do like the look of the Boz cans though compared to the stockers.

Just finished my first tank of gas with the Boz Bros installed. Went from 31 MPG to 36 MPG. The tires were low on air so I topped them up and that may have helped. Straight thru mufflers sure make a difference. Gas gauge is just plain crazy. Started at zero when I filled the gas tank. Dropped to 3/4 at 72 miles, 1/2 tank at 94 miles. 1/4 tank at 114 miles and to the "E" at 138 miles. Filled it at 142.6 miles with 3.9 gallons. Hit a record 73 degrees here today....woooohoooo !!!!
