I managed to obtain a milled ZX12 cam timing chain tensioner, already decked so the roller protrudes deep enough for the ZX11. I was very happy to be able to get one, much less get one already milled.
Today after work, I'm taking it to my own machinist, to have him disassemble it and make sure its clean inside and mike it for tolerances, check that the spring and roller arm are working smoothly, without wobble, etc. If he gives it a go, I'll get it put in soon.
Going to put a shift kit on it and a 16 tooth front sprocket, or rather, letting the great Kawasaki mechanics at my stealer do it because I don't want to do it. They can put the tensioner in then.
And get a map from FAICS, and see how that works.
And change to NGK CR9EK plugs per FAICS, and maybe even drop down to 87 octane pump gas from 89.
Going to pack my side cases and top case early next week for a 4 day club ride to Finger Lakes region of New York, so I'll weigh them and that way I will have a total load weight for when I have my Ohlins R/T fork and shock made.
Then Marchesini Cast Magnesium wheels, and Brembo brake calipers and rotors (front only, rear is fine as is).
Then I will have $32,000 in it. LOL talk about an capital Obession.
