Centre stand
08/28/12 1:15 AM

My centre stand finally arrived the other day (7 months) well done "Kawasaki Australia"
The reason for my post is for those that want to go down this path, be aware Yoshi slip ons don't have a stop for the stand to rest against, I am somewhat surprised at this.
However I am not going to let that stop me I will fabricate a stop and weld it to the Yoshi mid pipe!
Will post some pictures when I am done!

Neil

There are many solutions. For instance, the TiForce centerstand stop bolts on the right side to two holes in the centerstand mount and accepts the stock rubber bumper off the OEM exhaust.

These work great, just a little hassle to get one sometimes.

I have one if you want it, will post a picture here tonight after work.

I drilled/ tapped 3mm thread through the leg bought a pack of two small rubber stops from the hardware used one with no problem with the heat off my mid pipe (no melting or stains)for many of kms wet/dry roads with that design on my CBR1100xx and my other ZX14 before you can just see the small black stop sticking out near the foot on the rear end

Is anyone having issues dragging there center stand under hard corning? I have a rear stand so I'm not sure I really need a center stand but they do come in quite handy...

the pick above is my last ZX1400 yes they are great, but on my 14R I didn,t want to lose that cowl so i,ve ordered a PackJack , ( Tarsnakes )PackJack: Chain Maintenance When Touring The PackJack is a small temporary stand that eliminates the “two guys”, and lifts the rear wheel a couple of centimetres so that it can be rotated to apply the chain spray. It’s simple, really well made and comes with a small carry sack (pictured). I stress that I purchased this with my own money and did not receive any price reduction incentive to post here. The postage cost from Canada is a bit of a killer at $20 CAD and brings the total cost to around $50 delivered to Aust – which is pretty pricey.
