Part Identification
08/22/15 5:46 PM

Hi guys. Just putting back my front end after lubing the steering bearing. Come across two of these pieces and forgot where exactly they go. I think they may attach to the lower fork clamp on each side. Obviously they are just wire guides. If someone knows and could take a pic of their bike to show me that would be very helpful. Thx!

I'm looking right now in the wire and cable section in the appendix. Those do not go on the lower clamp bolts.

I don't see anything showing two of those anywhere. Can you remember just what you removed?

That looks just like the piece that goes on the ignition cover(timing wheel)...to hold the wiring in place.I see NOTHING showing that piece around the fork area at all.It obviously attaches to something solid...not like a duct or something.

All the other wire line 'clamps' are plastic...and fit into the Ram Ducting and such.

I've worked a lot up around the forks and such...I've never seen that clamp except on the Ignition Case cover.

I appreciate you looking for me. Can you show me a photo of where you think it goes? It might jog my memory. I have the whole front and side cowlings off so it could be a few places it might go. Thx!

Just a guess here...look at the ignition housing cover there on the right side.See the black wire coming up and out...is there a part like you have there bolted in the aft side of the cover...in one of the mid/upper bolts? With the wire channeling up through it?

Maybe you worked on something there a while back...and forgot that wire stay?Is there only ONE you have there?

I'd almost swear this is your part.

I think i might have found it. I flunked out by taking a look at the electrical diagram on the fiche. I did have the headlights completely out of the front cowling and you can see in the pic there are some of these wire guides attach to the headlight housing.
