Boz Bros

Well I just did a track day after fitting in a PC3 this weekend just gone. Didn't have time to have it mapped before so it was running a standard map.
I had it on the dyno just today to check and fix the fuel mixture value and found on the first dyno run I was only pumping out 146.5 hp at 6750. Not good.
The guy on the dyno shifted the values around to stabilize the fuel air ration and only managed to screw it up to 153.2 hp at 9500.

The exhaust is a Boz Bros unit to which I'm not sure of the model. (maybe some-one could identify it in my avatar).
It seems maybe to be the problem. I'll post a closer pic later of the pipe.

Does anyone know where I can lay my hands on a map for this type of exhaust? 06 ZX14.

Could be either the exhaust is a waste of time or the guy running the dyno is having a few probs working it out.
Looking at my chart, there is a big move in power curve. Sure there's more power comming out...but...

I'll try scan the chart but for now.

Revs.....Pre Dyno work HP.....Post Dyno HP
2000........28...................24
3000........54...................32
4000........80...................52
5000........117..................71
6000........136..................93
7000........145..................121
8000........---..................135
9000........---..................150
9500........---..................153.2
10000.......---..................151
10500.......---..................147

Differences like these ring alarm bells to me.

I'd like to try a map close to suiting what I've got before buying a new pipe
can some-one help?
cheers,
Dave

ND, try contacting the manufacturer of the muffler. I tried all kinds of maps from DynoJet before I thought to call Muzzy (my mufflers) and they sent a map that was great.
There's also Jeff at FAICS. onejeffo@yahoo.com He does custom maps, [u]most[u] of which are great.

That's the strangest dyno job I've ever seen. Hope you didn't have to pay a lot!

008 ZX14R Ninja ... Midnight saphire blue with custom lightning bolt paint job, Kenny Rodgers KRTuned mufflers, Corbin custom seat, Marchesini wheels, Dunlop Qualifiers, Dyno Jet PCIII, custom FAICS map, Dyno Jet Ignition Module, K&N Air Filter, Supersprox 44 tooth sprocket, Zephyr 16 front sprocket, EK chain, TRE008, MRA windscreen, Race Railz frame sliders, Sato Racing axle sliders, ST Machine brake & clutch levers, Engine Ice coolant, Muzzy aluminum fan, ceramic coated headers and midpipes (cat removed), Vortex Rear Sets , Pro Comp Stearing Damper, Pro Grip Gel handgrips, Gen Mar clip on risers, Dowco tank bag, and a Rumble fender eliminator.
Removed GPS.

2005 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider, 1442 CI fuel injected, 65 HP, lots of chrome with 24K gold overlay detailing. Sure is pretty!

I would have liked to see a zero Map run first. Not buying the #'s. Go somewhere else. Look at what he did to your bottom end.
