Hey all-Having a blast riding I hope-and safe and sound.Thought I'd post up my "expenses"since I've owned my ZX.Not dollars mind you,just "parts".Tires-6 rear tires.Fronts-3.Oil Changes,with filter-5.Chain with sprocket(s)1.Front sprocket-2.Air filter-2.Plugs-1(set).Brake pads frnt,rear-1(set).New brake/clutch fluid-1 time.New Battery-1.That's it-in 20,000 miles-NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS except for the Valve cover seeping-which I fixed with install of washers on the two left side bolts.I LOVE MY SPACESHIP!!.It's been WELL WORTH BUYING.Miles of Smiles.Take care all-Have fun and ride safe!!!Self installed Mods-LSL bar kit w/Superbike High bars.16 tooth front sprocket,42 rear.Stock airfilter with metal plate removed (as per HUB)(Thanks Hub!).Muzzy Ignition advancer-4 degrees.Throttlemiester.Puig Double Bubbble windscreen.Rear fender removed.PCIIIusb installed,secondaries removed.Connie 14 seat.Speedohealer.Evo FactoryPro shift star.Buell XB pegs,Protech tank grips.Progrip Tank protector.Vortex Shorty Levers.Spiegler Steel front Brake line.Pirelli Stradas.Cox Radiator Guard.All maintenance I did myself as per the Service Manual.Only had dealer install tires,spark plugs and install 42 rear sprocket with chain.They also did the throttlebody sync.This bike just ROCKS!!!!Be safe all!!

Without wanting to turn this into a tyre thread - you mention you have you been using Pirelli Strada's blue07. Seems you are only getting a bit over 3000 miles out of a rear though...is that all? I thought the Strada's were known for higher milage than that?

That's an average.A couple I got 5,000 out of.Some,a lot less cause I went much more aggressive.Specially with this 16/42 gearing.Lots of FUN!!Finally figured-"what the heck,they're gonna go anyway,might as well have fun with em".I no longer try to squeeze the max out of em.Just rock and enjoy.And yes-you can get higher mileage if ya take it easy.I got tired of seein the center go flat while the sides were still thick!!!
