HiFlo Airfilter

I noticed on eBay HiFlo HFA2916 is pretty inexpensive around $30 including shipping. It says ZX14R 2006 to 2015. I thought Gen 1 and Gen 2 have slightly different size. Have anyone tried HF2916 on Gen2? thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hi.

It seems, that there's only one fitting filter avilable at HIFLO - that's the HFA2916 for <2012models.

There's no item or part number available for younger models..

So the Ebay article seems to be wrong.

I sort of remember Brocks or Romans or someone doing testing that showed a reduction in power with the non-stock high-flow type filters .... dont recall the details. Believe the Hub recommends just remove the metal screen from the stocker and its as good as it gets

Brock wasn't keen on the non stock filters before, but a new filter yields more promise. He now carries a DNA filter for the 14r, and I think it works quite well.

While not same day back to back testing, I did dyno on the same dyno 6 months apart; with the only change being a removal of a slightly dirty BMC street filter and the addition of a new DNA filter. I gained 6-7hp with no other changes, and with a retune I gained even more.
