The ZX-14 is not traditionally thought of as a 'touring bike' - so why would you need cruise control?

The answer is twofold: 1. the weight on your arms and wrists often precludes long-distance travel, which is substantially solved by our MCCruise as proven by the thousands of sales of Honda Blackbird, VTR1000 Firestorm and myriad Honda VFR750s, 800s and now the 1200 throttle-by-wire bikes over the past 23 years; and 2. the ZX-14 is ballistically fast! It is just so easy to be riding faster than intended and get booked for your trouble!

MCCruise works from 30kph (22mph) to 180kph (110mph) and reserves your energy for those roads we all know that are both a joy and a challenge, but are often a long way away, down some pretty boring interstates! (like the Dragon in NC, USA, but of course there are lots more 'fun' roads with far fewer police!

So if you think a fully electronic cruise control might interest you - see our reviews here - thousands of Concours Z1400GTR riders can't be wrong!

Wouldn’t a system for the ZX14R be a very simple bolt on from the Concourse? The engines are virtually the same except for tuning differences.
Also how are you running this system? Is it a piggyback off the wheel speed sensor and the throttle position sensor?
