Watch out for those black and yellow snakes
06/03/13 12:01 PM

I think this Duc had about a thousand miles on it, sad .... I think this guy needed a riding course, look at his ergo's (or lack thereof) and look how hard he hit the front brakes going into the turn (before the crash). then looks like the yellow snake bit him ! feel bad for him and the bike ...

Ya...feel badly for him.Painted lines will get ya....Only time I ever 'cross' em....is if the bike is virtually vertical.Sometimes ya hit one...maybe it can't be helped..IDK...I try not to.They are wicked things those black and yellow snakes.Last thing ya want to do is be applying front brake over a snake...fer sure(leaned in).

I hit them once and a while with the rear tire on real narrow canyons, but the front end is a big no no ! I dont know what kind of paint they use, but it sure gets slippery !

Yeah, Y'know, I thought they were only slippery when wet? No?

Oops! OK, well, thanks for the heads up fellas!

I know the highway is not my personal race track. I know the highway is not my personal race track (say enough times to remember, and convince myself...). The Highyway IS NOT My Personal Race Track.

So, not hitting the yellow snake takes away half the width of the highway, huh. That means speed has to be reigned in to accomodate the decreased width. Darn!

Oh Well, the highway is.. OK, you know.

Dam, I would stick my head in the spokes to put myself out of mysery! That stuff haunts me! That's why here in Ontaio I don't do burn outs at the traffic light. Here we have wide and long white painted lines. These are sure as friendly as the snakes in the video. Shiny side up friends!
