Full throttle

Hey , Could Someone help me with an issue I'm having. I have a 2012 ZX14r and as I am riding it and I give it gas , it ask like it doesn't want to take it. I have change the plugs , Fuel filter and pump , I also change the oil. I put everything back together and it fixed the problem. when I took the filter off it was trash in it ( grey Matter ) it look like the top of the gas cap. So I started my investigation and took the gas cap off and it was nasty inside so I replaced it so I'm thinking problem solved. The bike was running fine for a couple of days now its doing it again.

Please I want to ride and I need some help.

Did you flush out the tank? Sounds like there's gunk in there, maybe clogged your new filter again.

... it ask like it doesn't want to take it. I have change the plugs , Fuel filter and pump

Let me act you dis den, when it ask like a filter, does the fuel pump go wizz-wizz, or whaaaaaaa and stop?
... back together and it fixed the problem.

Cool. Daaaais one needs a sticky.
... when I took the filter off... it look like the top of the gas cap.

So I got this right, when it ask like the top of the gas cap, does the filter still flow, or dribble out like some old man shaking it for a half hour?
... took the gas cap off and it was nasty inside so I replaced it

Let me act you dis, was the fuel filter clean as a whistle or did it look like a cap? Is the old cap now a two ring keyfob?
... for a couple of days now its doing it again.

Again, I gotta act, if it fixed the problem and it's doing it again = Repeat what you did so it fixes the problem.

Is Curtis playing; I'm bored? Same scenario at another thread. You goofing on the goof'er? I changed out my gas cap for over a hundred bucks, and the lowest part of the tank is where the fuel pump lives, and a wink-wink, changed the fuel filter? Then mentions the air cleaner/filter. If the tank cap was that bad, gravity says what at the fuel pump? A clean fuel pump plate? Fuel filter is the black plastic housing with pump, which is not available, but buy the pump complete to get one.

Injection loop:
Plugs/injectors/pump.

Plugs changed, pump changed. We clear?

Gee hub, thanks for the clear, sensible help with the problem....
He stated he changed the pump and filter,
and he may be from another country which could explain the strange word use.
But you go ahead and keep " helping" people.

I'm with Greenhornet on this one.If the fuel filter was clogged then changing it would fix the problem but only temporarily if there was crud in the tank itself. I'd be inclined to take the tank off, remove the pump/filter assembly and flush the tank out with either fresh fuel or some sort of solvent cleaner.
Only when it's completely cleaned out would I put everything back together with either a new or cleaned fuel filter.

Mad, you're a mechanic. Walk the loop. Ever try to clean that black filter container? I popped one off, shook it, powdered rust kept coming out. That's how fine the filter is keeping those injector holes clean from clogging. That's like 35psi back to spec 44psi at the rail. The rusty tank say, is at a low level. The ceiling is gong to rust. So add the scenario of a sitter with low gas, condensation at the bare metal. Slosh goes the particles to the bottom. Where is the lowest point? No mention of rust, just a gas cap that could have been dipped in vinny, sans the rubber parts.

Having it return with all new parts in the loop, sans cleaning the injectors. But, but, did he say it ran fine? Then injectors are not clogged. Short of a camera shot at the old gas cap and how bad did it look? But, but, runs bad again as if the a new cap was also clogged and could not vent the tank? New cap, so vent is not it, pump is not it, injectors are not it, plugs are not it, a/c element is not it.

Unless the OP brings in an; 'obtw, it has...' to add to the variables eliminated. If you caught something I missed, I claim senior moments on the think out.

lol.Hub knows more in his little finger than most of us ever will about the workings of these bikes.Everytime I read a post about his solution(s)I learn something.A professional knows he's supposed to dig deeper into an issue and ask questions.Cover all the bases. It's rarely just one thing that's going on.

Hold horses with this pump.
If changing the filters helped for a while. Clean everything (fuel tank, fuel lines, airbox), replace the fuel filter again and check the effect. Only then decide - The pump may be not damaged (and what is original is original)

I am from Poland and my English may be poor - sorry
