Hi team,
Currently my 2018 bike has the original headers & twin Carbon Yoshi slip ons. 4 into 2.
If I bought the 4 into 1, Akro headers would I be able to use one of my Yoshi mufflers & its link pipe ?
Or do I need to buy the whole system?

I think you would need the Akra mid pipe.

I was just looking at this on my Tsukigi 4-2-1. It appears there is a segment of pipe between the collector and the muffler. I would think slipons would have that mid pipe welded onto them like the stock mufflers do. --so you'd need to cut the mid pipe off your slipon and expand it--basically turn it into a 4-2-1 muffler. Just surmising. The Akra headers and collector might fit closer to the motor than the stock exhaust too.

My Yoshi slip ons do have a seperate link pipe.
So, I guess the question is, is the position of the 4 to 1 header pipes ( outlet ) in the same place as ONE of the outlets of the standard headers TWO outlets.
Oh yea, & the mufflers have a wrap around type mounting strap that can be slid along the muffler, so variable position possible.

Why not call Yosh and ask if their 4/1 header would fit with just the one Yosh slip on muffler. I think you are going to have to buy a mid pipe from either mfg. I also expect you will have a better chance using Yosh 4/1 header & mid pipe of being able to re-use the Yosh slip on.

I suspect you're more interested in the Akra full system than a Yoshi full system and hope to avoid the extra cost of the Akra muffler because you already have a Yoshi muffler hat might fit. I would probably be more stoked about an Akra full system too. I don't know how much of the advantage might be nullified by mixing an Akra full system with a Yoshi muffler. Try the Akra pipe with the Yoshi muffler if that's cost effective. If the Yoshi muffler doesn't match up, in pipe angle or diameter, you might be able to rig up some kind of gasket and/or muffler bracket. Otherwise, you will be on the hook for a new Akra muffler. Buying the Akra muffler and the rest of the full system will probably be more expensive than buying the Akra full system with the Akra muffler from the get-go.

Does Akra make a 4 into 1? When I got my Akra header years ago, they only made a 4 into 2, which worked perfectly with the Two Brothers carbon mufflers I already had on the stock header.

Full systems YES.
I just thought I’ve got perfectly good carbon mufflers, surely there’s a way I can use one of them.
Weight saving my No.1 reason.
But it seems not to be the case.

Have you contacted Brock's. Maybe they'll sell you just the header. You'll still have to do something for midpipe. If it were me, if you can swing the dough, I would buy a Brock's single full system and sell the Yosh slipons.
