Guilty Pleasures
04/20/11 11:34 AM

I have a guilty pleasure I need to get off my chest and confess. I feel everyone here is my friend and will take every chance they can let me know how ridiculously retarded I must be which may snap me back into reality, that plus I'm really bored at work today and have nothing better to do at the moment.

I really, really, reallyreallyreally, really, want a 1983 GMC cargo van painted up to look exactly like B.A. Baracus' van on the '80's show 'The A-Team'. Really really bad.

Gotta have it. That's all I got to say.

And now I feel like we all know each other a little better.

I've always wanted one painted like the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo.

Vans used to be cool. Then SUVs. Next, my guess is, electrics.

That new Nissan (?) electric is pretty cool. Wish I could afford one, work is 2.1 miles from my house. I could go a week without charging, easy.

Yes the Torino is very cool. I never watched much Starsky though but I do like Torinos especially Clint's movie. I think I'm just nearing that age where you start looking back fondly on the things that were cool when you were young and impressionable.

As far as the Mystery Machine, Gravedigger, last year at Silver Lake sand dunes I witnessed a monster Mystery Machine, and the paint job was admirable especially when you take into account the rediculously long travel they gave the suspension and the way they were flogging it over test hill. The rear axle was connected to the frame only by some chains and the spring retainers! It didn't make it home in one piece.

And Privy, if you end up turning my fantasy thread into a debate about electric vehicles I may never forgive you! Although, I'm greatly compelled to discuss it. lol But seriously!

I want full blown V-8, square side pipes, red spoiler, wheel flares, foglights, brush bar, and even the lock box infront of the back doors where they used to lock up their chrome machine guns which were evidently full of blanks, and four captains chairs. Is that too much to ask.

And then when I have that, it will be time to build a Viper and a Raider from Battlestar Gallactica.

Sorry, but I hate Hippies. Nice people, but unrealistic/practical. Not to mention I like death and war too much. I had a 67 VW off-road bug though. It was called Orangecrush and had custom lettering just like the old soda bottles. But back to the death thing I hacked the thing to pieces and made a sand rail out of the parts. The body still lives, however, repainted on another guys car. Shame...

Dukes of Hazzard was a really dumb show in hindsight. And was overplayed too much in the late 90's early 2K's. Everybody and their brother has a minivan with 01 rattle canned on the side.

I wouldn't mind the Fall Guy truck, however, I used to love my matchbox I had when I was little. It was right up there with the el camino with the Khaki colored dirtbikes in the bed. lol
