For Sale: 2013 ZX4r
10/16/15 1:56 PM

After much thought, I am selling my 2013 ZX14r bike.

I could never get her comfy enough with different mods to ride her more than 2 hours without
my body paying for it. She is for sale.

Its a 2013 ABS model in excellent condition. She has been garage kept all her life. Never abused except for some
Straightaways on the freeway when I open her up at times.

I am selling her for $9500. Current mods installed are the ZG Touring screen, Knights Design lowering pegs, adjustable lowering link and kickstand (bike is at standard height), and a Zaoko throttle lock.

She has slightly over 10k miles.

I have bike posted in the Mcallen, Austin and San Antonio, TX areas in craigslist.
Here is a link to the McAllen area >> https://mcallen.craigslist.org/mcy/5260190874.html

I will continue riding her until I sell her.

Thanks,

NuRider250

I hear you on that two hour deal. I went with a Corbin seat, lowered the bike two inches, made my own lowering pegs, got the 1 1/2" risers for the handle bars and that helped a lot but as I get older the 4 and 5 hour trips look less inviting.

I'm looking at a large cruiser for the future. I like the Mean Streak or the VN2k but have never been on either.

Good luck with the sale.

Although it'll never be a Goldwing comfort wise, you have neglected to install the biggest comfort
improvement available, LSL Spiegler handlbar kit.
Without it I would have sold my ZX after the first long ride.
Just thought I'd put that out there before you do something you may regret.

Jesse: I am looking at the Honda F6b model. It looks sexy and mean at the same time. But first sell my ZX...

Ride: I have not tried those risers/kit but my knees and inner thighs kill me after 2 hours. Thanks for the feedback!

LSL Spiegler handlbar kit. Will totally change the bike for you by putting you in a very comfortable riding posistion.
Plus 1 for sure.
I also put on a conny seat and never put the stock back on.

I will makeup my mind to keep it if I can make it more comfy. Just don't want to spend too much money and time on something that may not help. Argghhh!!!

Lol...I have a 2013 F6B and am looking at picking up a ZX-14R in 2016, when my F6B is paid off. Guess we always want what we don't have. I can answer any questions about the Honda you may have. I love the bike and so does my wife. I want the Kawa for when comfy and cruizer are not the thoughts on my mind.
Peace.

Yeah just paid off my 14R... So I can grab the F6B
Found one at pretty good price and upgrades and only 1300 miles...

Only thing I'm really not liking is the radio seems it needs to be upgraded I'm looking at Amps now, and hopefully can wire the OEM amp right to it and use the aftermarket as a booster ....
At least that's what there doing on the goldwing

when I test rode the f6b I noticed the shifter toe foot area doesn't let you shift with the ball of your foot, theres no room for your foot to shift, i had to shift like tippy toes. also the seat is comfy and large but you get swamp ass in summer time. the bike is nice besides those two issues, the h-d road glide wups its ass and has a better rumble just romp on it homeboy

Just keep in mind that the cruiser style riding position can make back problems worse. All your weight is sitting on your tailbone and travelling down your spine. And with most cruiser type seats you cannot move around much.
