Very nice. Is that a special Brock's adapter that allows you to attach the Ohlins damper? Mind if I ask how much the whole deal cost you?

Looks good. I am sure it makes a BIG difference to the head shake under acceleration and deacceleration. Way to go.
I need to get one too. I have always said a ZX14 needs one, but lotsa guys disagree. What do you think, having one on the bike? Cheers.

I will be looking for one next year but since the LSL kit is on mine that one will not work.

Hey Guys

Rook you are correct that is the Brocks kit, I like the look of the ohlins better than the hockey puck style ones.
The best thing about this kit is the fact that there is no drilling involved and it bolts up in about 15 minutes.
I searched around and brocks wanted something like $700 or more for this thing and there was no way I was paying that price. I found it on schnitz.com for around $500 or so but continued my search for the better price. One of my boys I ride with has a sister that is a loan officer in a bank and she gave a loan to a parts guy that works in a Kawasaki dealer. She mentioned to the guy that her brother rides and he said give me a list of what he needs and he would knock like 40% to 60% on all parts. This was only one thing of many that I cashed in on the sale pricing deal and got the damper for $320 and a bargain and a half. I bought all the expensive items I had on my list cause I figured it was a one time deal.

Harley I just installed it over last weekend and the weather has turned for the worst so I only took it around a few blocks near my house but I will let you know how it is when I hit the highway. One of the reasons I installed it is because NYC is full of pot holes and shitty streets and I am hopeing this will help the handling.

Thanks
Snuffy

PS For the guys that have the nice weather Ride Safe

$320! Great deal and I think that was a good idea to buy up all the stuff you could while the offer was open. I would try to keep in contact with that guy though. Most people go with the hockey puck damper. I hear they work well but I agree with you that the tube dampers look cooler.

I haven't felt that i need a damper but I wouldn't want to be without one if I ever do.

Hey Rook

A couple of my boys I ride with have Busa's and one of them took my bike for a ride and told me he thought that the steering was too loose compared to his Busa. The Busa's have a electronic damper built in, so ever since then I have been wanting a damper.

Thanks
Snuffy

Tell you the truth, I don't think I have noticed a bit of difference in the feel of steering stability on either bike. I wonder if my damper is working on the busa? I have felt the 14's steering whip on a couple occasions when i hit a bump in a corner but I have cornered harder with the 14 harder than the busa.

I have Ohlins damper on the FZR track bike as well as rear shock and front spring kit and it is so easy to deal with ajustments are simple and quick as well you can rebuild them parts kits are readly availible I'll put one on the 14 for sure. I am a big guy and when hard on it the 14 gets really loose and light one of theese will transform the bike that I am sure of...xxx's

Any oem damper is crap compared to the aftermarket products- all gsxrs we've had, the R1... no exceptions.

An aftermarket damper should be installed on any sports bike IMHO.
I have a GPR V4 on the 14 and I've had 2 trouble free years with it.
