Feedback on Harbor Freight wheel chock
07/13/09 8:53 PM

I just got through putting together and using my HF wheel chock. I wanted to give you guys my feedback I also have a Baxley sport chock for comparison.
The Pro's= I used a coupon and got the HF chock for 50 bucks.
Its sturdy and well made.
It seems to work well after I worked out some bugs.

The Cons= Its big and wide and takes up alot of space....alot more than the Baxley.
It doesn't hold the bike in as tight as the Baxley (which is made for sport bikes), since the HF is made to fit a range of diff bike/tire sizes.
And my biggest complaint is the fact that it doesn't come with any rubber feet to keep it in place as you roll the bike into it. After much trial and error I finally had to put it on a big rubber mat, and use double sided tape to secure it to the mat AND the floor. The Baxley has special slip-proof feet and never moves as you roll the bike into it. Its not in the same league as the Baxley overall, but for the price with coupon I'm happy with it, and would buy another
