I think they addressed it with the trans 'overhaul' on the new bird.Didn't sound TOO bad on Ricky's bike. But still there. His upshifts sounded REALLY clicky(good).Don't know if he was clutching those shifts or just toeing them.Either way...sounded very smooth to me.

I should be getting mine soon....I'd say at the end of this month sometime.I doubt I'll be able to even break her in though.Snow has got to be hitting real soon. It's overdo right now.

I can't have a new bike in my garage and not ride it. I can see you with your new helmet on the 14 R in your garage wearing your pjs lol I just couldn't do it.

DK... The numbers for the BMW are all over the web and results from drags... check it out... Besides, if the stretched BMW runs a totally stock 14, is that the same thing??? Not really - the bike (14) wasn't "prepped" in any way that we know of... And just about all tests for the BMW bone stock put it at about 180 something at the rear wheel and 190+ at the crank... The bikes that are putting 190 or more to the wheel aren't stock.... something's been done to them, mapping, pipe, something... According to BMW the S1000R makes 193hp at the crank... so the 14R is (according to printed numbers), making 17 hp more than the S1000R, but of course the smaller, lighter 1000 has a power to weight advantage... straightline performance for the two would probrably be pretty close... Methinks...

Grn, I'm with DK, it would be hard as hell to have a new bike sitting there and only being able to look at it everyday! I'd be dry humping the hell out of it until the weather broke!!!!

I hear bro! All I can say is I am glad I live in Texas, only a short time (few weeks) where I am that are not suitable for riding - little ice in Jan or Feb sometimes... Rest of the year's all good for riding!!!!
