Salutations to Hub and ZX

ZX you might have something there, I was looking at the damper more for an added feature than usability. I push hard, get a little wiggle when the front wheel leaves the ground, upon acceleration, but it mostly behaves. My problem is really with the tires, they are wooden and terrible (metzler sporttec), they came stock. Maybe as you and Hub have suggested investing in new rubber is money better spent!

I should just say I saw the Olhins unit on my buddy's gsxr 600. It's a really nice unit! Still like wow 700 bones!
Given the video you posted Romans, it's worth it!

Received this in the post today.

Has anyone installed 1 of these on a 14R 2012 - 2013? The hole for the bolt where the bracket goes into the steering head didn't align this was 1/8" (3mm) out! So out came the drill, problem fixed!
Next, the bolts supplied for the bracket that attaches to the brake master cylinder end are to @#$%y long, by 1/4" (6mm). I cut these to the correct length, but wait there's more!
The bolt supplied to fasten the central bracket to the bike is to short!
The instructions supplied are incorrect, as there is no dimple in the handle bar as stated!
I have heard great reports about Brock's products on here, but sadly this was not the case here!
As this was the first Brock Performance product I have bought, & will now most certainly be the LAST!
Has anyone else had these problems installing these brackets on their bike???

Sorry to be reading this. For that kind of money should be Zero issues. Send it back.

Even after installed center post mount has Flex on bike shown in pic above. Curious if yours does as well ?

I have sent a message off to Brock's, be interesting to see what the reply is. I believe that Kawasaki has changed the distance to the from the stem to the mounting hole slightly, & this has not been picked up until now.
The only reason I did not send it back, is it would take another 10 days for the return, then who knows how long to sort out.

Shane has the Brocks/Ohlins damper on his 2012 zx14r, says it installs in 10 minutes with no problems.

Hi Neil,
Some of us were discussing this, and were quite annoyed to read that you had to go to all this trouble to make a 700 bean system work. This is just bad news. My boys and I were looking to order that exact unit, but if this is going to be an issue, i.e. fit and drill issues than forget it.

Glad all is on and fitting. What was the magic pill?

Someone needs to repeat wheelie's comment. Shane, who has probably done the best online build, weigh and compare thread I've ever seen (just happens to be a ZX14) said it took all of 10 minutes to put it on his 2012 14r. There are always execptions where something just doesn't go right and from what I've seen the guys at Brocks seem to step up to the plate and do what it takes to make it right.

Like I said. As soon as I got the Gpr unit I would post my thoughts. First off the install couldn't have been easier. 15 minutes...tops. 35 and 36mm sockets, few allen keys,bit of lochtite and torque wrench will do the job. Love the fact this is a simple bolt on unit that is very compact and doesn't detract from the looks of the flight deck.Went for a short ride after just to bed it in. Loved it.....all those twitchy little wiggles i usually get over rough, pothole ridden roads were gone. Front wheel taking off and landing.....no movement at all. Next to getting my suspension upgraded I feel this is the best mod I have done to this bike. Very happy with the results. Looking forward to giving it a descent test on a longer run. Once again will keep you informed.

Does the damper for the 11 14, fit the 12 14R???

Cblast the Olhins comes in a 2012 and up configuration, so I am assuming no. Anyone try this?

I think the move was gear change induced? Was he sloppy at the bars, stiff at the bars, a real wrist wobbling move or WOT?
