Well okay-last night I reinstalled my stock clipons, with the heli/genmar combo.Everything fit back very nicely-no problems. Also changed my gearing back to stock as well.Today was the first day I've ridden my bike "stock" with the Jeffo map and TiForce slipons.(no flies).I can only say that I'm gonna be stayin with this setup for quite a while. The map and exhaust definitely transformed my bike. The Pirelli Angels are the best tires I've ever used-smooth as glass and planted. No wheel weights.I've had nothing but good to say about my LSL kit-very very good mod.Just wanted to make a change again and go this way for a while.Right now-my bike is running the best it ever has.The stock gearing really makes a difference.I MUST also confess-the position of the factory clipons(even with the risers)has convinced me that the angles and design of the factory bars is the most responsive and smoothest feeling deal I think I could get.I don't know if it's because of my total body position,or the way they're designed. But they are surely confidence inspiring and comfortable.I had forgotten just how they actually did feel-they've been off there for so long.I don't think removing the risers would be comfortable for me-no.But the handling with the stock bars is really really sweet.Don't want to discourage anyone from installing the LSL's-they're an excellent riser and bar combo.VERY adjustable and comfortable as well.My bike is definitely handling nice with my stockers on there. For some reason, the frontend actually feels MORE responsive and planted than before. And the overall performance of my bike is extremely smooth and comfortable.Did I mention "she's running like a raped ape?!!" Kawis RULE baby!!!"the fastest, most powerful production motorcycle on the planet"WooHoooooo!Life is GOOD when yer King!!!! Hope EVERYONE can git out and carve some canyons soon!!!!And HAVE FUN on yer Spaceships!!!!

Ya-Scott-I did have a 43 on there. But I really wanted something to compare the different sizes from. The 41 is very smooth.I'm still not gettin the fuel mileage I would like though. Some guys here are gettin like 38,39 mpg.I would LOVE to see that with mine. But it's all good."have fun"-ride safe-ya-that's what it's really about.Few mpg aint THAT big a deal.My bike's runnin better than when she was new-so me HAPPY!!!!Take care!

Hey Blue,
What are you going to do with your 43? Are you interested in trying a 42?

Hey Cutback! How are ya?Doing great I hope!.I'll just keep it here and have it for if I ever need the thrust again!.Ya-been with the 42 as well-not enough punch for me.Worked good with the 16 front.Just gonna stay stock for a bit.Actually, the stock setup is quite strong-stronger than I remember. And noticeably smoother as well.Went out today and had a REALLY good ride with it setup like it is now.

Great to hear Blue. I'm glad you've been able to get out and ride. We've had some warm weather (for Oregon) lately. I got out 3 times this week and got in some great rides. I thought if you liked going stock gearing again, you might be trying +1 in the rear soon just for the heck of it. I thought one time I remember you postin' up about growing up in Huntington Beach, Cal.? I grew up in Garden Grove, Ca. Keep postin' Bro. I get a kick out of your posts and appreciate your passion.

Oregon-yes-was hitchhiking through there once-Midnight.Dark as He@#.Guy I was riding with had a VW bug.So he ended up stopping at some LITTLE town(just remembered...Medford-ya that was it!!)(completely dark and like something out of the twilight zone).Dropped me off there-Raining-yeah,and drove off.Soon as he was out of sight,I realized"the guy has everything I own!!!Now What?"..I was on my way to visit my Sister in Grant's Pass, which I did.Ya-fun times!!!! (Glad THAT's overwith!)I grew up in Long Beach, but spent my summer vacations body surfing Huntington and Seal Beach.Laguna not as much.I was still living there in 2000 when I bought my Harley.I was living in Riverside-Going to college and working.Used to ride that Heritage(scraped floorboards as often as possible!!) up the Ortegas and along the ocean all the way to the border and back.Good times-(even if it was a Harley!)Actually,it was the new twin cam 88B-ran really well. But of course NOTHING like our zx's.After she got ripped off,I bought a zzr1200 new and got hooked(finally)on sportbikes.Course as a kid growing up-I ALWAYS wanted a sportbike-Never could get one though.Bought the Harley for $19,000 in 00 after gettin a settlement for my back(had to have a fusion, and they had to pay me for firing me from the job because I was injured. They ALMOST got off. Then moved here and have been lovin the crotch rockets I've had since.A zx12R,and now my 14(the best by far!!!).CUTBACK-that's an intriguing forum name-sounds like a Western deal!!Ya Baby!!!!Ride safe there also Bro-have fun and hope ya get some more rides in!

When I was a kid we owned a little po-dunk sawmill in Medford in the early sixties and then moved to Long Beach in '64. I lived off of Cherry St. Man, I use to surf from Seal Beach to Doheny. I got on bikes real early Blue. I started doing motocross on a Hodaka Superat in 1970. By the mid to late 70's Desert raced, gave roadracing a go back when Riverside Internationl Raceway was still around and then dinked around drag racing Kawi's for awhile.(OCIR & Brotherhood) Man, have bikes come along ways. I'm still doing motocross and x-country on a CRF250R, trackdays for the last 2 years. Just sold my liter bike 3 weeks ago. Miss her, CBR1000RR, 405lbs wet, 161HP, fun bike. This ZX14 is really something though. One of the fastest bikes I've ever rode and yet with manners. The smoothest bike I've ever been on. Look foreward to another great year of riding.

Cherry St.Yep-know it very well-I worked at Long Beach Fisheries in the early 70's right there on the corner of Cherry and....I can't remember the cross street. It was on the south end of Cherry, about 4 miles south of Signal Hill.Place was a LARGE tropical fish company.Live tropical fish.I was their driver, and Salt Water department lead.Very cool job actually.I had a 175 yamaha back then-thought THAT was a blast!!!(first bike besides an OLD taco minibike-3 hp briggs.)I'll never forget catchin my finger in that minibike chain-wohooo!

Nah Buck-it's all good. They do let ya feel more connected....(the stock bars).Ya-I was thinkin about changing for a while now-just to see how it would feel.Glad I did it.The designers KNOW what they're doing-that's for sure. She definitely wants to roll hard.I had kinda forgotten how this setup felt.Ya-I'm happy!

If your not careful with mods alot of times it will make the bike worse than stock. Those Kawi engineers are pretty damn good at what they do. Good to see you found a happy spot.
