i have not quite gotten the balls to pull legitimate wheelies on my bike. i have learned to take advantage of some wheelie bumps on a few of my local roads. i have not gotten more then a few inches off the ground, and in most cases, it sets down very smoothly. but the scariest part about these bumps is when my passengers, who don't know this is coming, give me a resounding "AGAIN!!!" LMAO.
i always tell my passengers to let me know if they are getting scared by patting me on the shoulder. this weekend, for the first time in the years of carrying different passengers, one of them patted me on the shoulder as i was rolling hard on third gear in a nice straight section of road. come to find out, she wasn't scared of the speed... but her helmet wasn't on tight enough and was starting to pull off her head! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
(its not funny that the helmet was coming off, but that i thought i FINALLY scared someone. although, i don't TRY to intentionally scare people. she made VERY clear that she could have gone faster. how do people trust me on this thing?!??!?)

g'day bean,
was a hump bridge, was only doing about 55mph!
did a couple of previous passes under 50 and only managed wheelies! dont know if id recommend it as they land hard and the sump bolt is quite vunerable....lady luck was on my shoulder that day!
would love to go down under again some day bean, have fantastic memories of my time there!
when is it my turn to win the Lotto?

Thanks guys. Now it's in perspective.
That's a tad high for me....don't think I'll be attempting that anytime soon!Smart move. If you take Jafo's jump, it looks linear. Jumps are tricky. One of the T vids near the end, if you watch the back horizon, you'll see the hill flies up then drops down. The front wheel was a little high in the air and the back was just kissing the road if you can imagine; I chickened on that one. With the 14 and the front brake lock vid, that jump is a high dropper, so I chickened out, flew low. Very dangerous are jumps. I have a funny growing fingernail getting thrown straight up and landing straight down did that nail take a beating.
