A New World
05/27/09 1:15 AM

Hello all,
AL here, I bought a 06 ZX 14 from a very good friend with only 224 miles on it. It's had a few riders on it but for only a quater-mile at a time. I bought this power house ZX 14 from Rickey Gadson. I have made a few changes on it like extended swing arm and a little more NOS But with just a air shifter, Power Commander3 that I want to go to the Power Commander 5 {that will work and map itself in real time} and a light shot of Nitrous it runs 8,40's now.... I have never rode or raced a bike that is so user friendly. The hardest part of being a proud ZX 14 owner is keeping it shinney enough to match how well it runs and looks. Once you relize how much power you have under you and calm down a little you know Kawasaki has made a pulg and play/ride bike. It's awsome.
Thanks for having me here,
AL

Welcome, Al.

Brock Davidson (Brock's Performance Products) has dropped by here a time or two. He may know a bit about your new bike if it was one that Rickey raced.

Congrats on the new ride! -bg

Watch out for the Hub. He put a challenge out there for RG, and I don't think he heard anything back.
He may hit you up to make it happen!

Hello Al!,

Nice to hear from you again.

FYI: Al was with Rickey Gadson when he dropped of his monster energy ZX-14 for our SuperSport package in Feb….SUPER NICE guy.

RG is currently 2 for 2 on the bike in AMA/Dragbike National Competition….maybe Al is a good luck charm?! ;)

Hello and thanks for the welcome to this forum,
Brock, we won't tell every one here that my visit out there with Rickey was a real pleasure for me and that I drove 3/4ths of the way but was only awake for about 1/2 of it. The center divider and my truck meeting did wake me up for the rest of the ride and, with 2 of Rickeys, 2009 Monster ZX 14's with a total of about 25 feet on them sitting in the back bouncing around was the scarey part. Then hearing Rickey say "AL don't worry about it" really made me want to strangle him . I guess that is what friends do????
Hub, thanks for the welcome but I'm sorry to hear that you may have an issue with Rickey. I know RG for a long, long time and there are not many people I know that would give you the shirt off of their back and Rickey is one of them. If you would like, private message me and let me know whats up maybe it is just a small missunderstanding or just some b_lls_it. I don't like to see good people not get along with others over crap. So if you would like just private message me.... who knows?????
Thanks Again for all the HELLOS.

AlDe, Ah no, we have zero problems with RG. It's a little inside rib at another website. In fact, it has nothing to do with RG. I've met him at a dealer show. You can tell he would freeze to death giving that shirt to you. Dog and I just have our own wild child thing going is all.

So, there are just a few stupid videos that use RG as if I were to goof with an, I Love Lucy video. It's just a goof on Lucy and the cake eating or crying out for, 'Rickkkkkkkkkkey!"

Besides, how can I choose RG as my drag racing choice, Rossi for GP. Hamilton for F1 [needs a car]. The guy that flips backwards when he wins a NASCAR race... I am locked for the season on my main picks to win it all.

Funny how stuff comes across on the internet that mean the total opposite of what you are thinking.

Yeah, I said Hub had put a challenge out there for RG, not that he had a problem with him.
Sorry that it came across wrong.
Don't see how any zx14 owner could have a problem with RG.... he's out there reppin' for us all!!!

BTW, you should get RG to sign up on the board, if for nothing else, just to say hi. Having him as a member here would be an honor for us all.

"Come Get Me." It was just funny to see RG say he moved 135mph when he drag races past 170 in the 1/4. I thought that was just too funny. It was more for the viewer. But we know the real underground that 130 and change is just way slow for this kind of bike.

So, it was more a respect for speed and hanging out your sweat tea balls to dry a 130 is an oxymoron or paradox.
As if I read the author but use the quote of Hamlet's saying, "I must be cruel only to be kind" ...

Nothing is going to come of this. So, I more kept riding the goof... Or more or less... One video was more for a helmet check and for me to kick back, listen to some music, and watch me run the same old lines over and over again. I just needed some music to go along with it. I clicked on a thread that had RG's show and the rest is Dogo's fault.

Who's Ricky?........................................... (I know who Ricky is BTW).Wonder what that bike runs like?(Al's).Just once, just once ..................So these new PC-V's create a map as you ride? And it ends up working and locking in? Or does it remap every ride?Sounds kinda cool to me.
