Can anyone tell me what the black and yellow wire is for that connects to the battery? Mine has been modified and connected with and eyelet to the ground bolt I believe. Mine is missing the blue connector.

The blue connector out in front? IDK what that is for. I have my battery out now and i can have a looksee where that wire goes if nobody knows the answer to this. The blue clip is simply a way of disconnecting this wire from ground the wire out of the other end goes straight to the ground screw on the frame along with a small taped bundle of other wires.

Pg. 16-35

Blk/Y = Goes to ground; runs up to blue connector; connector wire goes to Joint Connect; from joint to splice; from splice to Vo/Reg.

So just to confirm, if the black/yellow is grounded without the blue thing I'm good to run the bike?

The 2012+ 14Rs don't have the blue plug, just an eyelet that goes to the ground bolt.

Well, that solves that. I started putting "Gen1" in the title any new tutorial I write. I can't do much about how I titled the thread at the time I wrote it but I can edit the title on top of the the first page. Sorry about the confusion Auron.
