The Gen1 also has a dent in the midpipe to allow clearance for the frame (or something). It's not as gnarly as that but still looks a bit awkward.
LOL yeah, I've seen lots of pics. I'm surprised that they can't actually just fix this problem instead of pounding them in with a sledge!
Mine is one of the worst examples I've seen though.
I lost 100 lbs. my senior hs year. Real work beats gym "work" 1000-1. Chop wood, dig a hole, carry buckets, etc... uses your whole body instead of trying to target every muscle one at a time. There's a reason a lot of "workouts are now including kettles, ropes, tires.... My experience and opinion.
Congrats that's a lot of weight. The most important for someone that wants to shed weight, get in better shape, etc., is just to do something. In a lot of ways I agree with you, but lets face facts unless someone's got a couple hundred acres, or manual labor for a job it's difficult to stay busy just doing stuff.
Also keep in mind body's are like anything else, they break down especially with hard use. Doing stuff at 17-18 yo is a lot different than when you're 40. I'm sure in 10 years, and 20 years I'll be saying the same thing about 40.
Uuntil about 3-4 years ago even being 270-290 lbs I was healthy. A yearly exam my BP was great (like 120/80), my blood sugar was <100 (normal), cholesterol was fine. Then over 2-3 years I didn't change anything (in fact in some ways increased my activity) but my BP was up to 150s/90s, my blood sugar was high pre-diabetic, and bad cholesterol going up and good cholesterol going down. That's what trigged what I'm doing now. Honestly, I didn't care about being fat and 280 lbs (I did have some concern about knees and other joints. But I don't want to be 60 and be on a dozen medications and then trying to do then, what I'm doing now. And hell, as I mentioned earlier, as different as I am from 10 years ago physically I can't imagine at 60 doing what I'm doing now.
