hey slowninja,i have another question for ya!i want to regrind the cams with the set up you got,but will it ping the computer showing an error?with this,i probally get a little more horsepower if it works.regrinding the cams just a little bit better than stock, not drag strip!so what you think about this?

Webb camshafts sells re-ground stock cam's. If they can do it, why can't you?

Shouldn't ping an error. All you're doing is modifying the time and amount the valves open, as well as the timing between all of them.

Honestly, a mild cam grind will net you 2-3 hp.. not a serious difference. However, if you do 5 things that get you 3 hp each you have 15 more hp.. Building a stout streetbike (essentially what i have) is about putting all the building blocks together. Everything you can do to squeeze an extra HP out is worth it.

Up to you, my opinion is you'll barely notice the difference.

I've read on a few other sites about some guy doing regrinds on zx12 cams to fit a zx14. Anybody heard about that?

Most good general machine shops with CNC mills and lathes could not regrind a camshaft.

Something to consider.

I agree! I'm sure if mack14 reaches out the right person over at Comp Cams in Memphis they could do it right.
