Hi all;

Riding season has begun, and we're all finally getting some seat time.
I got my 14 late in the season last year and had little time to ride it.

I'm very familiar with big displacement bikes, as I have previously owned a pair of Busas.

Comparitively, my ZX14, is much noisier.
Nothing specific really, just noisier.

I've read about the chain tensioner noise, and it's certainly evident but, it's "More".

I've always known Kawasakis to be noisier, but I'm just curious.

So, I'm just wondering if any of you have recorded your engine while running at idle.
Possibly even at a bit over idle.

I'm not looking for the exhaust note. I interested in engine noise.

Let me know if you can help me out.
Also I'll record mine and post it for comparisn.

Go to Performance. Look for, "Question for Hub." Go close to the end of the video to hear a 14 idle. You'll see the needle point to about 9 ~ 8 pounds at idle is what you want. 9 is better-Better yet, you bring in the idle and how far you are from the bike, I will match that note so you can compare.
