Coast-to-Coast 50 hours
06/12/11 7:51 AM

A guy named Brian who is a member of COG (Concours Owners Group) just completed a coast to coast (Rye NY to Ocean Shores WA)ride in under 50 hours on a C14.

We were able to track his SPOT transceiver online at spotwalla and it was simply amazing to watch.

The guy is 53 year old, so no youngster.

He will no doubt be award the CC50 ticket for the accomplishment.

I find it absolutely amazing. I stayed awake for about that long in Ranger School, but I don't think even at 20 I could have ridden a motorcycle that far, that fast. Maybe I could have, and have just forgotten it in my old age.

I can't even run 70 miles before my butt hurts and I start to fall asleep. Was he on diet pills? I need a dixie cup fill before I hand out a badge of honor. Baseball scores mean jackshit. French bike racing is in the same category. Find some stainless human accomplishments and I may give a shit.

LOL Hub, how did you get from saying you couldn't even begin to do what BFD did (CC50) to badges of honor and baseball scores and "stainless human accomplishments" (which means, what?)

There are not a handful of CC50s awarded, despite the ticket has existed for over a decade (since the C10, at least).

I think its pretty awesome and so does most everyone in COG, so you are outnumbered 50,000+ to 1. Heh.
