Gathering choices for new poll: favorite exhaust systems
05/27/09 5:07 PM

Please let us know your exhaust system of choice for street riding -- not drag racing (unless it's the same). The one you have or want to have. Brand and model. I'll put them all in a poll and we'll see which one is the most popular.

Thanks. -bg

CT SERIES™ DUAL CANISTER CARBON TIP FULL TITANIUM EXHAUST SYSTEM

I'd prefer it w/o the carbon tips, but it's still BADA$$!!!

Dogo, yes I like the Brock's CT also, but at $ 2,170.00 /per
it would definitely qualify for Badzx14 R.I.P. icon

I have the Yoshimura full-system carbon-fiber dual cans and the sound is unbelievable. I think it's a sound a 1400CC engine should have: very throaty with a deep rumble at idle with a raspy moan on acceleration. These cans really let this engine breathe. It's like that girl you met at the bar with that voice that ... well, that's another story.

Next investment will be the PC3 and flies out combo with a TRE. That should be quick enough for me.

Tsukigi Cannon full system gets mine. I know it's too loud. I know it's not for the street. I don't care. It makes hp.

must admit, I might get one used in case it's too loud.

I love my Ti-Force High Mount Slip-ons. The sound is great for me. Not too loud not too soft plus is a plus when I come home and I don't bother the neighbors in the apartment complex I live. [img][/img]

I put on dual Muzzy slip-ons with carbon fiber ovals. I love the deep tone. They came from Muzzy with no recommendations as to ingition or mapping adjustments or other suggestions. I wouldn't want any lean/rich type problems.(Any suggestions out there?)
I didn't have the stock ones on long enough to notice if there's a big difference in power. Actually I think it's kinda silly to try to squeeze a few more HP out of a 14, unless you're competing. (Yes bragging rites is a competition.)
It's too bad pipes are so expensive. Unless you're rich or don't have a caring wife you only get one shot. It would be so cool to be able to try several brands before buying.
In California it's illegal to convert the exhaust because of emission laws. But the only time I was pulled over for pipes was because they were loud.
