2013 Riding Season
10/01/13 5:24 AM

It's October! For some of us the 2013 riding season is just about over. What are your highlights for the 2013 season? What kind of miles did you put on?

My most memorable moment would definitely have to be my trip out east to meet up with some of the guy on forum for a Saturday ride around Bear Mountain, NY! It took me two full days of riding just to get there. The second day I had to ride most of the day through rain. It was miserable because I never thought to bring any rain gear along, haha! All the guys that showed up were some of the coolest, friendliest dudes I ever met and the ride was awesome too! 3200 miles in five days! I was a hurting unit by the time I got home, it was worth it! Hahaha, but that never stopped me from putting on another 1000 miles the next weekend for a trip to Wisconsin to ride the twisties there along the mighty Mississippi! Also while I was in WI I went to Chippewa Falls to visit the Leinenkugel's brewery. Then Labor Day weekend I took a jaunt south of me to Winterset, IA to se the house where John Wayne lived as a child. All in all this was the best damn riding season ever for me. So much fun on such a wicked bike! I was able get in over 10,500 miles this summer, most of them miles were all in August and September.

PS Cblast where you at for mileage? It's October 1st buddy!

Morning sir!!! My bro Nasty!
Well, this riding season... Marked for me the beginning of a love affair with Priscilla, this season also marked th start of the 14Nation. The birth of the Predator Race Team. The formulation of the cannonball. Development of my Flash. Also, I rode to Canada twice, once to the Nanaimo area of Vancouver island, and once just up and into BC. Plenty of day rides where I started out before sun-up, and rode home after dark. :)))
For me this riding season was one of the most Epic of my life. The start of many things.
Here's to the 2013 riding season!
Here is to my brothers Wolf, Nasty, and Bobby!

And here is to the dick sticker I have to wear on Priscilla, because Nasty my brother, ya straight up whupped my azz in the mileage challenge!

(I'd prefer my dick sticker in chrome so it matches my ride)

Haha! I have to concur brother!!!

How many miles C?

I am leaving the big D sticker up to Tank. This will be his first task from me as a prospect.
Tank- I am leaving it up to you to find the perfect D sticker for Priscilla. It must be large enough to clearly see from at least 100ft. You must also choose the location for the sticker. If C allows it I want you to install it and do it proper, but only if C permits. Otherwise I want you to over see the installation of the decal. He must have it on by April 1st and remain on the bike until October 1st of 2014.

Yup...it's gone by very quickly.Lots of rides in actually...over 8K on mine...close to 9K.Last month a year ago...I was dying from a wreck...now I'm feeling a lot better....things have settled out. This has been a great riding season for me as well...new bird...ABS...cool flash...bike runs great.Gonna try to get more rides in...snow hasn't started here yet...so I'm goin for it as long as possible. My first 14R I did get over 10K on her the first year...within about 4 months or so actually. The season's a tad short here...can't really safely get out until around April or so.Snow starts flyin around late Sept/Oct.Hopefully still some nice days to get out and romp;)You guys ride safe and all....the 14R just ROCKS!!!!LOL!!!

Riding my bike for the first time was a real thrill. It was December, 43 degrees, foggy and misty. I had to drive my trade-in 85 miles, pick up the 2012 ZX14R and drive it home. At the time it had shorty straight pipes on it. By the time I got home I was frozen and practically deaf but what a ride !!! It was a thrill for sure !!!

2013 riding season... Mine started on March 27. That's when I purchased my 14r. Since then I've clocked just over 5k. I'm sure I'll put another 1k before years end. My most memorable event is definitely going to New York on the bear mountain ride with many other 14 and 14r riders. Got a chance to meet some stellar people I consider my friends. Including NASTY my man! Snuffy, Black1, Angel and many others. I've fallen in love with my 14r (still yet to come up with a name for her) and am extremely happy. 2013 was definitely an awesome year so far. I've been on multiple charity rides here in CT showing off my ride. Also did many solo ass kickin rides. 2014 will be better. Bring the NATION together my brothers! Mad love and respect to all! WOLFMAN, CBlast and Bobby you guys rock. Frank the Tank my man, pictures of the Hard Chrome D sticker is a must. Lol.

Dang C! It was a close battle for most the summer! For awhile early on I kept saying I was only 1000 miles behind when in reality I was more like 2500 behind! Hahaha I thought for sure I was gonna lose my own bet a few times.

Tank- That sounds perfect buddy! That's a good place for it, cause then it can be removed for the wife's sake when she wants to go for a ride with C! It will be permitted to be removed from the bike only when the wife is on back or she is riding it herself and does not want a big ding dong on there while she is cruising.

I'm getting close to being done for the season. Tires are about done in. 66xx miles.

Here in SE MI, the middle or end of October is about all you can usually ride. Except for the few nice days in November. Chances are, I wont get to do much riding after another couple of weeks, since my ride will be going back into the shop to replace damaged parts from the theft. It'll get new tires then too, and be finished just in time to put it away till spring. Frustrating. All the new parts, exhaust, flash, tires, and I probably wont get to see how she's improved. Just look at her longingly till April.

All total, I only put about 4500 miles on the 14 this year. Loosing almost 6 weeks for the theft, and the other month I was unable to ride. Oh well, next year Ill be able to look forward to a long season. Hope to double that mileage.

Here in the balmy far North suburbs of Chicago (Union-mob run, sanctuary city, violators of the peoples 2cnd amendment rights oh-my-God-since-forever-man, gang ridden contender for murder capital of the world and worlds's largest "gun-free" zone overseen by Rahm Emanuel, his high fartiness, and the Obama apologists) I will still enjoy over two months of riding season!!

Won't put her to sleep till December something. Only a big snowfall and icing will call halt earlier. I don't mind 30 something degree Fahrenheit weather if dressed properly and properly shod (bike tires; not my personal shoes).
I no longer ride in wet freezing weather or through snow banks in February; frozen mustaches and bad crashes have curbed my enthusiasm.

Bike gets Dec, Jan, and Feb off. This winter its brain surgery time: will get a Romans' or CBlast' flash over the big sleep; which one just depends on availability and cost and convenience. Either one should do me nicely, methinks, in the spring thaw.

Didn't work out to get all the trips that I wanted this summer, not at all! No way to match last years 40000 mile tour of the Rockies+. Something over 12,0000 mile (19,500 km approximately) on her at this time and will get a late season ride with the COG NC next week. Daily commute and week-ends should add some considerable mile over the next two months.

Will get big the BIG SERVICE and major work-up done next spring by my beloved (really!) dealer. They do good work, cooperate with my whims and needs and respect the hell out of me. You may think I'm kidding but NO, I am blessed with a super dealership-mechanic/ friends/ fellow riders to deal with. I will see that they reference the Brock video if they have any question at all about dealing with all the plastic as I doubt that they have done a lot of major body work removal. Not a lot of 14's running here and not a lot of people put enough mileage by now to need the work.

I will have to warn them about my winter flash before they pre-ride or test ride the beast though. Don't want them getting a nasty surprise when they first twist the throttle on one of our boys' tuning mods!

2013 has been great to me. I have attended so many motorcyle events this year, its been amazing. And we are having a much better, warmer, dry weather now than during the entire summer. I had the opportunity to meet you and the others in person, and 2013 riding season is not over just yet. There are a couple more upcoming motorcycle events to be held this month. If this balmy weather continues, hopefully I'll be riding until Thanksgiving!

2013 was a great season. Lots of riding with people that matter and have substance. I am not a tour captain, more of just a Five Hour Burner and early morning hooligan. Put 8000km and climbing on the bike. With regret I missed Deals Gap, but I am trailering her down next summer. All in all, very happy and lucky to cement some excellent relationship with some solid gentlemen!

We had a lot of rain come through on Thursday and Friday putting a temporary hold on harvest so I pulled my girl out from her slumber for an afternoon ride to burn out some more fuel and run some Sea Foam through her system. Now she is good for full winter storage with fresh oil and fuel stabilizer to keep her good until I have time to work on her this winter and do some R&D on a few performance and bling ideas I got running through my head. Yo Greennie- I got one mod in the works I'm designing I'd like to pass on to you at cost for next season I think you might like to test out for me, if you're interested that is.
