No I haven't seen any documentation, but superbikes use them so they've got to be good for something. I read in the british mag: BIKE that the ZX12 responded well to a high flow filter. So I'm pretty sure it would translate to the 14. It' s hard to judge from a dyno cause that big fan is a poor imitation of a ram effect. I am curious to see though! Same story with the V Stacks on the dyno they don't really make a difference but lots of people say they feel an increase in power. I have plenty of power as it is but if I get some extra cash I would like to find out and post the results on the forum.
I'm with you on the engine mods, I was tempted to take it to carpenter racing but realized I was never going to use that power. For a bike heavy like the 14 200 hp would be nice but I think it would make it worst in the twisties. I think I'll just get a 1000rr or the new duc down the line, they're both pushing close 200 hp but they have more revs and are lighter so changing direction is no big deal. This guy told me his RR wheelie in 3rd if u're still interested.
I'm not into drag racing, when I bought the bike the salesman told my wife and I the 14 was a beast on the dragstrip so she told me I was going to be a dragqueen which I switched to dragking lool. I like sweepers and twisties, never worked on my launches and they suck.
Thanks again for the info
