Okay, it's still cold outside now, but let's find out where we all are in the country and make plans to get together and ride. My name is Michael and I live in Manassas Virginia. I'd love to meet other 14 riders in the area. No big rides for certain right now just ride as weather allows, but I do have some friends in the area and we are planning on a repeat of our trip to Deals Gap. I'll keep you posted.

Hi, Michael.

I've heard a LOT about Deals Gap. Wish I was closer to it. I'm in Colorado.

We're working on putting a "Location" field in the profile page and displaying it above "Joined:" next to all the messages, so that may help identify where people are. -bg

Hello Michael and Ninjaboy07, let me know when you are going to the Gap, and maybe I can join the ride down. I live in the southwest part of the state, about three hours from the Gap.

Hey Minerman I didn't heard anything else from the group I was gonna go to the Gap they have some issues. But anyways I'm planning a trip for me I wanted to go there for a very long time so let me know what days and on what month you are interested on going. I'm off from Mondays till Thursdays at work so my original plan was to stay from Monday till Wednesday and return home Thursday. I'm very flexible on time so if interested let me know I was also going to make reservations at Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort that way I'm wright in the middle of where I want to be ! Let me know what you think or if anyone else interested in going.

What's up everyone?? We have had a great couple of days, of beautiful weather here, so haven't been on in a few days. We are working 6 days a week now so when i got off saturdsay morning ihave tried to take advantage of all the riding time i could!;)

I work for Bluestone Coal Corp out of Beckley WV jlcumb2. I'm a 3rd shift production foreman for them so to get time off is hard to come by, right now we are working 6days a week and i get every third weekend off, so to go to the gap on week days i will have torequest it off. I am only three hours from the gap though so i may take a day and with working 3rd shift still have two full days of riding.ninjaboy07..

If you let me know when you're coming jl and Ninjaboy I can show you some of the great riding around home here. One of the best kept secrets of VA starts about 5miles from my driveway. State rt 16 runs between Tazewell and Marion and if you like the dragon then you will love this road. It is listed in about all the motorcycle road sites, it has very similar scenery to the gap but is off limits to vehicles over 35ft, is 3 times as long as the dragon and every bit as technichal, speed limit is 55, radar enforcement is minimal, traffic is very lite.
And another good thing is if you travel I-81 down to the gap it is on your way...

First time on the "new" site and my very first post...

In regards to the deals gap trip there are a bunch of us heading down to the Gap from Ontario Canada... And beyond the week of the 30-05 Jun.

We have a number of rides scheduled for the hole week and if you want more info prior to the ride or to meet up that week send me an e-mail at kirk.darch@isc-csi.ca it goes straight to my BB so wherever I am I will get back to you.

Note: I am not the ride boss or the "convener" just another participant but like always the more the merrier if not for the riding certainly for the drinking beer after.

Cheers...

Hey 1minerman, what do you think of this route?

I live in Manassas VA, a nice ride to your neck of the woods in itself.
Hmph, can't get a large and detailed enough image to store anywhere. Basically it follows RT.16 to RT.11. Then from RT.11 to RT.107 and then RT.91 back to Tazewell.

I'm having a hard time meeting zx-14 riders in my area. I used to have a Hayabusa, (wrecked Sep 2004)A friend I used to ride with is now in a club that is geared for Hayabusa's only. Don't get me wrong...Hayabusa's are nice bikes, but I like my Ninja.
