Hey all-hope you're all having a great time riding!I have a question-will a 4 degree advance(Muzzy Timing Trigger)cause any incorrect valve adjustment readings?Thanks all-Ride safe!(I mean,setting the pistons for TDC-will that be incorrect with advance?)

No. Timing is crank degrees. Valves are separate from any timing. No valve will change the ignition timing. No timing will alter a valve shim clearance. Same intake suck will occur. Just fire 4 degrees sooner. The valve is already closed if that's what you mean about any other part of the engine getting involved with the timing.

OK, here we go with the computer quizzing. We are going to be constantly stuck with the generic. So, if we are discussing what we are doing today, we might as well start from 1999 with the same old questions. Here are a few GM car generics are the same as the 14 in the generic. Even though the codes are not setup to code like this, there is that other box that is the reader in the spark unit. That sends these codes to the backup I am more or less guessing at. Because that tone is off under my butt signal.

GM P Codes = Putt-Putt down the road you are not running in tone....

P0362 Ignition Coil L Pri/Sec Circ Error
P0363 Misfire Detected-Fueling Disabled
P0364 Reserved
P0365 Crank Pos SensorB Circ Error (bank
P0366 Crank Pos SensorB Circ Range/Perf (bank
P0367 Crank Pos SensorB Circ Lo Input (bank
P0368 Crank Pos SensorB Circ Hi Input (bank
P0369 Crank Pos SensorB Circ Interm (bank
P0370 Timing Ref Hi Res Signal A Error
P0371 Timing Ref Hi Res Signal A Too Many Pulses
P0372 Timing Ref Hi Res Signal A Too Few Pulses
P0373 Timing Ref Hi Res Signal A Interm/Erratic Pulses
P0374 Timing Ref Hi Res Signal A No Pulses
P0375 Timing Ref Hi Res Signal B Error
P0376 Timing Ref Hi Res Signal B Too Many Pulses
P0377 Timing Ref Hi Res Signal B Too Few Pulses
P0378 Timing Ref Hi Res Signal B Interm/Erratic Pulses
P0379 Timing Ref Hi Res Signal B No Pulses

Since I need to walk my steps up to the GPS or a backup code or say the tone is in mode swing, we are going to have that concept of 364° of tone out of step to the ref signal. Again, the mod has your basic = Diminishing Returns 360.*

Generic speak. We want our computer to finish off the fire at 10° ATDC. We want the generic computer fire to be at TDC is 10 degrees to burn the BTU to begin the next degree is the compression stroke is over. The intake before. Now is time the next degree is 11° begins the power stroke. We need 0 not 4 as in degrees to fire the fuel BTDC is 4° BTDC, not at the generic TDC.

So, we could almost fire in reverse is > 4°BTDC [well, more radical a degree before tdc, but you get the idea] < where the fuel could fire back down the stroke is open the intake again. We did not clear ATDC. Something to think about when adjusting or meeting the tone = DR*
