Is it worth the trouble pulling out the flies in 08-09 models.

I removed them in my '08 model. The difference is barely noticable. I'm thinking about putting them back!

Removed GPS.

2005 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider, 1442 CI fuel injected, 65 HP, lots of chrome with 24K gold overlay detailing. Sure is pretty!

That is what I heard from a few people. I think I will pass on that one its not worth risk of damaging something.

I agree, almost. I never liked the jump in torque when the flies opened at about 3500. taking them out has smoothed out that jump. low rpm, low throttle tootling now enjoys linear torque. I also think the throttle is more responsive

If you get a PC with a map on there, that could improve the smoothness even more. I used to run a map from Fuel Moto for stock 08 and it was a good improvement over the stock mapping. I went to a 4-2-1 and a flies IN map (cause my shop doesn't have a flies out 08 map yet) and that seems to have smoothed out the 3-4 K rpm situation completely. Should be interesting to see how it runs when tuned for flies out.

Why void warrenty for a small if any gain . Not worth the trouble unless you are going a few steps beyond IMO

Lost in TX and I dont want to be found ,

2005 GL1800 Sold to another to enjoy
2006 ST1300 Gone but not forgotten
2009 ZX14 Also gone and will be replaced someday
some of the best of both worlds
