Hey lytnin, I remember you from the zrxoa board. I had a 2000 rex until I sold it to get the 14. Nice stable.

Nice Bikes. Particularly likes the bars on the ZX14. What are they? How did you replace the existing ones. What's the ride like? I've a seen a couple on the various forums but cant find anything like them in the UK

I like the pile of used tires. Should have kept mine over the years...
Cool bike collection, don't stop adding though!

The tires are mostly other peoples. I have a No-Mar tire Changer so this place gets a few piled up every so often.

Blue it is lowered a little bit. What I hate is a center stand will not fit with the links. I will take the stock set of bones and have them cut/welded to the same length as the lowering links.

Nice bikes. Which is your favorite?
About the bar kit on your 14, any long term issues about the wiring harness being a bit tight or rubbing?
Clutch fluid line OK?
I'm thinking about the bar kit but would appreciate any opinions. Did you measure how much it changed the height and reach?

Hi Kak, the bars give a lot more up-right position than the Genmars could even get close to. The wiring is no problem, kit gives longer lines for the front brakes, clutch line gets a bracket undone from the frame for the length, throttle cables go to the bottom instead of the top and you get brackets for the clutch/brake fluid holder thingies.
I added the poor mans cruise control (throttle-meister), C14 seat and some Buell pegs so now it is more comfy and I ride it more.
Later == Bobby

I just added another one. Did an almost ground up build for a friend over a 5 year period. Started out with a 2000 ZRX1100 and did the header/jet kit then 1109 kit then cams then 7 over arm then ported head then ZX11 brain/rotor and who can remember what was done inbetween them I do not know.
Joe wrecked a 4 wheeler in his yard and broke his right wrist. Even tho he is somewhat over it he still cannot grip tight enuf to hold a throttle in place or twist enuf to open throttle all the way. He got aggrivated and gave me a deal I could not refuse.
What sucks is his 1100 is faster than my 1200 with almost the same build except the 1200 is still a standard bore but with 12.5 pistons.

Hey Lytnin I got a question about the bikes. I know someone who has a ZREX and is considering a 14 but likes the Z for long rides. He is not real tall how would you rate the bikes compared? Might be a tough question. Also how do the ZREX bikes accelerate compared to the 14 are they more wheelie prone on acceleration?

Sorry for the late reply but for comfort the REX is hands down but needs improvements such as a seat (Corbin is my choice), front sliders to give the legs a rest on the long trips and 1 inch risers (cheap) help out but not really a needed item.
