Rook knowing how obsessive you are about weight I thought you would like to know. Replacing the 2 suspension links on my 14R with a set from Brock's I went ahead and weighed both. The stock links (steel) on a 14R weigh 10.6 0z each and the aluminum links weigh 7.1 oz each. Not as much as expected but everything counts, right. I am installing these to lower the bike for drag racing but they have a setting that is stock ride height. The hole closest to the center is stock.

Awesome! I'd take the 6 oz weight loss and be happy. So if the center hole is stock height, you must be able to raise the tail as well as lower right? How much did the Brocks links cost?

Well I see where I was unclear Rook. The inside hole of the 3 holes is the stock ride height. The center hole drops the rear 1-1/2 inches. I bought these from a forum member new in the original packaging. If you decide to try this look for a set either used or deeply discounted.

I just found 2 or 3 sets of lowering links in the shed for the 14 that I could not use because they do not work with a centerstand. The Soupies you can adjust to any ride height which I like but still no CS. I wound up taking 2 sets of stock links and having them cut and welded together to make them 3/4" longer to lower the bike and keep the CS. Downfall is now when on the CS the back tire is about 5" off the ground but to keep the CS was worth it.

Rook is fat!

I'd be interested in raising the tail. The Soupie's links are heavier than stock I hear. I believe they can be adjusted to +/- 1" though.

I just bought a set of raising links from Schnitz for the busa. $60, nonadjustable. The stock links on that bike are aluminum and so are Schnitz's links. It's a small weight loss being that raising is a shorter link. I remeber on member here made his own lowering links out of a flat bar of aluminum. That's all the stock Hayabusa links are and the Schnitz ones too. I'd be careful about the exact aluminum alloy I used if I made my own. The links are pulled, not compressed so I imagine that is in favor of not bending. I'd hate to have one or both break all at once.
