Super(charged) 14! IT's Back?
02/22/14 3:40 PM

Some quick titillation from the April Motorcyclist; just retrieved from my mailbox.

This isn't going away, guys! I think the Super Duke is gonna have to wait until I see this baby in the flesh......and then immediately transferred to my garage!

Copy says its in advanced state of development! KHI speaks of mc use; high heat and vibration environment, no intercooler needed!

Oh my......could it be 2015?

I just saw this in my magazine that came yesterday, wonder if it's going to be a 1000 or 1400 ?

I guessing 1400, could you imagine a 1000 supercharged ? With the short wheelbase, these rookies would be flipping them left and right, and probably start trying to sue kawasaki !

Well I'm in no matter what it is !! Been waiting for ever for someone to make a factory supercharged hyper bike !!

Lets go mother Kaw !!!

Notice the exhaust manifold. This engine is already being used in their top-of-the-line personal watercraft. Motorcyclist needs to do it's homework. There has been scuttlebutt for a couple of years now about using a blower on the street engine. The 14R is already equipped with traction control and wheelie control and a slipper clutch to tame the power. Adding a blower would just be a dick-waving contest that is going to attract more meddling bureaucrats who like to restrict things because they are pretending to be do-gooders to garner old ladies' votes. I would be very surprised to see it happen unless another manufacturer comes out with something faster than a 14R.

The only way this will go in the new bike is if the New Busa sucker punches the 1441 atmo platform.

Get on it....

Danno; you may be right, but you have caused me to question the integrity of one of my fav rags AND you are a serious 'downer' to my elevated spirits of anticipation.

A pox on the truth if it be so true........ on a cold winter's day in a deep and dark February yet.

Can't we get a break in this season of.....our discontent?

Hey, fantasize all you want, but I don't think you'll be kissing Katy Perry anytime soon.

The 14R is the first bike that scared me. Not a particular situation that I created, but the actual bike itself, which is a small part of the reason I sold it. It was fuckin' Evil...

If Kawi stops scaring riders, I'll stop buying their bikes. "The actual bike itself"... Kind of lost its snappyness. "I feel the need... The need for speed."

Cash is waiting. Bring on the 'puffer.'
