So....colossal,

What motels/hotels do you recommend up north by you?

I've looked at the "partner" motels/hotels listed on the Dream Cruise website.

Wondering what you'd pick for a good site, quality accommodations, and easy access to the festivities along the route?

Thanks,

PaulAB

Personally I think using Detroit as a playground is a bunch of fun BS-ing, but I'm on board with Michigan as one of the get togethers this summer.

So, those of you that live in Michigan, where are the best spots for a get together and good riding?

Hey guys when I said Detroit I was just using it as a reference point on a map. You can be within 20 minutes of Detroit and be worlds away from the shithole you here about on tv, for example when we were talking about the dream cruise on Woodward that road alone runs through probably 10 different cities some of which are extremely nice (Birmingham, Royal Oak). But I'm The new guy probably with the least riding experience so I was selfishly trying to get this done somewhere that I was comfortable riding as well as a reasonable ride for everyone else but I'm not afraid to road trip either.

Hey colossal,

I thought you had some specific recs for places to stay North of the Dream Cruise on Woodward.

Peeps are interested in doing a Michigan ride! Lets explore it. Dream Cruise is a starting point; where abouts are you located/or would you recommend for a stay in conjunction with the Woodward thing or some other time?

Maybe we can get a place and date determined here that will allow a group meet sometime this summer.

What or where is a good North point for a Michigan rally/ meet? Hell, its only one meet on one weekend.

We can get a Central Continent meet going here, it looks like, to go along with the other possible events.

Cheers,
PaulAB

There are a lot of places I'm about die miles north of where Woodward starts. Places like Troy, royal Oak, Clarkston, Wareford would all be within a few miles of the cruise but then you can head to the north of these places and you are on more rural roads. And your only an hour from the east coast and Lake Huron. There is also Bikes on the Bricks in Sept this is in flint about 20 miles away, usually a few hundred up to a thousand bikes of all kinds.

I vote Deal's Gap. But it'd have to be on Memorial Day weekend or some other three day weekend for me to be able to make it.
