Hallo from Germany !!
07/20/09 9:08 AM

Just registered today. I had great look over the site and I have to say I'm impressed with the wealth of knowledge here compared to other ZX14 sites.

I'm an Irishman living in deepest darkest Bavaria and I've just become a ZZR1400 (ZX14) owner back in March when I traded in my nearly new VN1600 Classic. What a difference :)

^^^That sounds like incredible fun. It's a dream I have. I imagine German laws are very strict about emmissions/noise/after market exhausts aren't they?

Shipping cost would be cut in half if I were to just buy the bike in Germany. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of tariff that would have to be paid to bring the bike back to the US though. Huh! Like I said, it's a dream!

Willkommen KTRIC,

I am also down here in Bavaria, but close to Nuremberg. Last month a colleague and I rode out to Kaiserslautern to a bike rally (mostly US service members with some friendly locals). There were several ZX-14s and a number of other ZXs. It was a great ride. To save time, we took Autobahn 6 all the way there -- You may have already guessed, but we did save time!

Getting there is half the fun...getting back is the other half!
