After reading the other thread someone mentioned that painting the silver bits black on the stock system tones down how big they look. So I figured what the hell I'll give it a shot. My guess is I'll need to have the heat shields by my feet powder coated because my heels rest on them a lot. The paint is just a rattle can job to see what it would look like before I spend $$$ on powder coat.

Phantom thanks for your idea. I powder coated the muffler caps, heat shields and heel guards. Looks really great!

Sweet! I could not get the bolts out of the muffler caps they are really in there. What did you do to remove them? All though its probably a moot point as I'll either be ordering the Delkovic system or the Two Brothers slip on's. They seem to be the best bang for the buck and not have to drop $1000 on slip ons.

The bolts on the end caps took a little time to remove. I used an electric drill with adjustable torque settings. I believe they're held in with locktite and that's why they're difficult.

Phantom, Just put the two brothers on today, they look and sound great, I would have liked for the pipes before the cans to be chromed, but its a minor thing

I agree with carabusa ...the two brothers mid pipes look like some 10 year old kid in China made them.
The weld is shit and I emailed the factory and they gave me some bs about the fact that they age better with the brushed finish.I guess you get what you pay for , but if I can sell the two brothers crap I will shell out a bit extra and buy some yoshis.

BTW phantom the pipes look good all black.Have you thought of pulling off the end caps and removing the baffles for a cheap way out.

Yosh makes great products, but I heard they were too quiet ? Dont know I had no one to compare it with, I quess I could have the mid pipes chromed down the street for not too much ?

Actually these mid pipes from Akrapovic look simular to the two brothers, and the Akrapovics cost $2000 !
