Our field is located on the property of a country airport that maybe selling because the local residents can't take the noise. Funny thing is the airport was there before the residents moved in.

To clarify, those photos are not my acutual filter but the "Magnetic" bright stuff is the same, but not quite as much.
The poster stated that he did use a cutter so I think most of the crap is real
I'm thinking that the trans is still breaking in because the metal is magnetic, maybe the shift dogs. The trans is a little notchy but getting better.
Ths first change was at 600 miles with the last yesterday at 2400 miles. I'll due another one in two wekks or so to see if I can flush the engine more of this stuff.

Man this is bringin back memories....not all good LOL! Don't ever buy a CAP, I had a 232, 65" span, 8 lbs (lead sled) powered by a beautiful Saito 91 four stroke. It was a bit underpowered but what a gorgeous sound that Saito made. Anyway, you know what they say about CAPs, CAPS snap and this one did with a vengeance. It was a big POS, snapped out of the top of loops, bottom of loops, high G turns, snaps everywhere...it would even snap out when you tried to three point it on landing, reminded me of an old Sukhoi 26 I had in that respect. Flying that thing scared me to death til one day I was doing low level aerobatics with it and it snapped out at the top of a loop and spun in. The worst part was the Saito was a goner, bent crankshaft, totally trashed, I almost cried. OK, enough airplane talk, back to scooters.

Yea... you have great planes and then some not so good. Too close to scale and they are not quite right for smaller scale. I also had a Snap 21.
Saito's are great, have one in my 27% extra 300s, a 2.7 twin. Sounds awesome.
Some days are great at the field and some are not to great, I know what you mean.

Saito's are great, put a 180 in a 160 size extra, that thing will hover and do torque rolls like nothing lol, those engines do cost a lot compared to OS

Yup, I seem to have more good days on my bikes and wind doesn't bother me as much!

I've had plenty of both and they're both good engines, OS seem to have a little more power but the Saito's are real jewels and my 91 ran like a Rolex. Believe it or not one of the best four strokes I ever had was a Magnum, yep one of those el cheapo Chinese knockoffs, engine never once shut down in flight and I wore out several airframes with it. I've seen others that couldn't keep 'em running though so it must be luck of the draw.

+ 1 on the Magnum 4 stroke.
Super Tiger's large 2 strokes are so so, if you like practicing dead stick landings. That's where the 4 strokes are a bit more reliable, not to many flame out problems and with flying at short fields, it's a challenge to land safely.
The best luck I had with a 2 stroke was with a Weber 120 I had in a Goldberg Ultimate Bi plane. Such a great flyer until a tree wanted it more than I did.

I loved my Moki 2.1, it would take my 16 lb Extra vertical outta sight. Smooth as Kentucky bourbon and that thing could swing almost two feet of wood. I guess I got lucky with that Magnum four stroker. The carb was so crude, it looked like it was made from pot metal but it never missed a beat.
