Looking back from 2006 when that was published, that website is on par with AP/Wpost and any other media research... Yeah, what research? Makes dugbikedotcom reporting and digging up any new news is the same old news wink-wink! Ass history repeats itself.

6.90 with NOS call me crazy, but is that even possible...
uhhhh, yup. 200 mph quarter mile
...and guess what bike did it?
Nah....Suzy isn't going to waist money developing a new busa. Not when the old one is still selling. They will make the most of their investment and then match the 14r when sales need a kick in the pants. That's the way it works.
I haven't heard of the 14r setting any new records yet except in Kawi promos. If it doesn't clearly dominate in the real world, there is no reason for the busa to change....unless they get the ZX-10 or gixxer 1k to go faster than the hyper bikes. The gen4 ZX-10 will already compete quite effectively from a roll on.

Could be 1600 for all I care. Its ugly. That anal probe and all. Insurance will charge accordingly for that 1500cc. Suzuki as a whole is not doing well. If they can remain competitive sales wise, they will have no reason to upgrade. They have a larger aftermarket that drives sales.

The future bikes will probably go towards electric like this :
Per the dragbike.com article :
"The ZX-1EV has impressive stats: it has about the same general physical size and wheelbase as a ZX-14R, yet still tips the scales at just under 500 lbs., fully charged. However, the coreless AC/DC step motor produces about 240 kilowatts of power or approximately 323 horsepower at the rear wheel."

You gotta be kidding me?!?!?! Do I see a KTM with ZX-14 headlights, or close copies of an ape's headlight silhouette and obtw, is that some George Foreman bend my grill under my seat, I'm a designer but I can't keep my eyes off that 14 wannabe is me K T.
But then again, check out that hide my outside bumps in the air and set it right behind the wheel now.

Yep. I think we will see some real leaps and bounds when they get around to producing those. The tests I saw video of a couple years back were impressive. Gonna be a bitter sweet transition in my life when the electric comes in and the internal combustion goes out. .

400lbs of torque out of an electric or 120 pounds out of the R... Pick. I'm just saying. I'd drop the normally aspirated like that for that kind of torque. Give me a magnet any day of the weak spark. lol

This is an equal playing field... Okay, I already have a remote to X the Y is up your Z, I toss some signal up the track: I walked the track say is how it got there. Once again is cheat your ass in an ohm's law kind of way.
Watt for watt, that's it. Call me the ohm's inspector, home he. An amp meter in X position, the volt meter in Y position. I know your output. You know the calc, you can make more torque. We double up to 24v, the shits yeah, gimme that bike!
For the later model boys/girls, ever push the R, you hear the corduroy pants zipping up in tone: at the window slots of the front [tone] wheel? Music to my ears. Have you heard the audio of pikes peak with monster running his electric car? Owns the electric record this year I believe? He's a gopro guy so search for that seat ride at their website. Use earphones, listen to the EMF [electromotive force].
I'll say that zippering kind of up and down, are off the carbon blocks, zipping over the air gaps of the way the rotating wound of wires on a shaft are cut. Like a starter motor would be the motor you want. Only larger. More wire wounds around that shaft, the more torque.
You can measure electricity in feet, times the wire diameter, rate the loss in resistance and all that ohm's law: build me a motor, let alone what wire gauge to use? Back to a simple math calc you want to beat you cheat with math... Numb beers don't lie.

I'm talking some torque right there. Corduroy my pants are... Back here! Hello! I couldn't hold on!
So anyway, I'm talking to their sponsored rider, I know what he looks like, forgot his name. He's the one that called us 'smellys' or 'stinkies?' Oh yeah, they are getting in our pants about how they ball-boast about the torque vs. gas.
And no way will they ever match. So math wise, or the basics, balance means: 1 amp = 1 volt = 1 watt. We enter resistance, we start in with the torque play with ohm's wheel. That should be right up your alley, C.
