Phantom Screw??
04/05/13 7:38 PM

Hi All,
Today went to jump on the bike to go to work, but noticed this laying on the floor directly under the gear selector.
It's 17mm long with a star head, I've searched and searched trying to find where it came from.

Any ideas?

Looks like it got broken off....Never seen one like that on any of my 14's.You maybe picked it up in your tire tread? And it just fell off the tire right there overnight?I think so.Or perhaps you ran over it...it bounced up and into the front of the fairing at the bottom...you parked the bike...it dislodged and fell.IDK.Only seen allens on my bikes...not torx.

I don't think there are any 'beveled' headed bolts or screws on the 14.Plus BLACK like that?Nope.

Never saw an OEM countersink screw on the 14....aftermarket fuel tank cap is the only part I have with countersinks.

.....so I really don't think you're screwed at all.

cool. Better give the exercise machine a thorough inspection if you do decide to use it.
