winter in Michigan is killing me this year, and it's barely been snowing. I don't get it. I must be getting old. Nah, it must be Michigan's fault somehow.

we get snow but it it's gone in a matter of days. Not enough to amount to anything.
I'm tempted to take the snow tires off my car but I know that's just what she's waiting for.
Our winter this year is what I would imagine they'd normally get in Ohio or Indiana.
Wonder if summer will come early?

I don't think anyone who hasn't experienced Michigan weather can truely understand how wishy washy it can be.
One day it can be below freezing and the next it will be in the 60's and 70's. It's no wonder everyone's bipolar up here!

Weather here in ohio sucks...every time it gets around upper 40's lower 50's it rains. What's the point of a warm winter if it's just going to keep raining? It's so bitter sweet to head into the garage and sit on your bike praying for warm weather and bike nights again.

We had a sportbike group over here on the lake shore that was decent for a while, but it got over run with baby riders with attitudes and something to prove all the time. Other than that there really isn't any bike oriented events I'm interested in. We have Muskegon Bike Time which lasts a whole week but it's lame and all Harley (I have one, but their events are for porch sitters in my opinion). I'm just not all that interested in standing around when I can be riding anyway. When I'm done riding it's time to have some beer and stay off the street imo. But then again, I'm not exactly known for being a social butterfly by any stretch of the imagination. If I had it my way I'd have my own track in my backyard and when it was crappy out I'd be on the dirt bike side of it!

Every wednesday and thursday there are pretty large ones...I'm talking 500-700 bikes on a good night. It's a mixed crowd with about 65% Harley's and 34% sportbikes...with a 1% scooter/custom golf cart drivers. Most Harley riders don't really start any trouble since they grew up riding a UJM or sportbike in the 80's and 90's and love to talk with sportbike riders about the current beasts. But then there are the ignorant ones who think Harley's are God's gift to the world. Those are best when viewed in my rearview mirror. Either way, a nice summer night, live music, good band, and a nice cold beer pretty much sums up an Ohio bike night.

Do you guy ride on charity runs often?

jt I'm from the akron area mostly sport bikes there plus home of the Star Boyz. Wed night for us was riding into PA to the Quaker Steak 1000's bikes over that way. Used to ride poker runs just about every weekend in Ohio but not too many way up here in northern Michigan, a lot of Harley clubs and they don't care much for us few sport bike riders lol

Most poeple who ride in Mich are posers imo. It's really all about looks up here for most people. But then growing up riding sportbikes down an icy highway 30 miles one way to work all winter has given me a pretty big head when it comes to my definition of rider I see today.

I love the lights on the bike btw. I used to get real crazy making my own LED setups from scratch back in the day when LED wasn't a household word(acronym) like it is now. A fellow rider showed me a couple tricks when he used to take these scenic posters of things like the Brooklyn bridge at night and wire up blinking lites all over in the background. I took it from there and applied it to my bikes. I even had a set of custom chrome skull grips with blinking red eyes on my GSXR.
Unfortunately, after being pretty much laughed at for years and now that technology has put LEDs at everyone's reach I've lost interest for the most part. I still do some things like fill blinkers with em cause I like to blind people, hehe. I plan to fill all the signals on my hardly with them as well just as soon as I can pull a Benjamin outa my ass for it.

a tail light I did-

It was damn near 70 here today, so I skipped out of work a half hour early and went for a spin. Came home with a bunch of dead bugs on the faceshield. Supposed to freeze overnight. Hope it kills the bastards.

Hey I'm glad for ya Coot. I was lucky enough to drive 35mph behind some white knuckling Taurus asshole for 35 miles. All cause we got an inch of snow. Florida's humidity sounds good atm.

Pretty cool Scotty.

I don't why You Tube lets everyone else use their favorite music in videos. They censored me right away.
