Seat opinions and question
09/14/14 7:04 PM

I have a 2013 ZX14. Thinking about a new seat. Corbin or Sargent? Best comfort and fit? I have a seat from my 2008 ZX14. Will it fit 2013? If so, may send it out for modification.

I've had both Corbin and Sargent seats, I prefer the Sargent for comfort by a bunch. Corbin has the option of adding a backrest which is nice if you want to take someone for a ride. Fit and finish is great on both.

Had Corbin (beautiful workmanship) however had fitament issues. Loved the Sargent seats. Both high quality. Turn around time (if you care) would be my decisive factor.
But if I had to choose, I'd grab a Sargent.

A third vote for Sargent over Corbin.

Question, anyone try a Sargent Connie seat on a 14? The reason why I ask is that the seat height spec on the Connie is a little taller than for the 14, and I would much rather go that way to accommodate my legs than lower the pegs.

In theory this should be fine because the stock seats are interchangeable.

Edit: Looking on the Sargent site I see the Connie World Sport at 32.1 and the ZX14 World Sport at 31.5.

Now All I need to know is if anyone has gone that route.

Thanks for the responses. I have an 08 ZX14 seat in the basement. Thought of sending to Tobin, now called New Image. Not sure if an 08 seat will fit my 2013.
