No it can't.. The damper is pressurized .. Only part doable is the bracket..

I'd much prefer a gold bracket with my blue damper. Would be willing to trade my black bracket which is guaranteed flawless, like new not a scratch anywhere....if that helps either buyer or seller on his deal.

I have the black bracket but you'd need to order a black damper with gold bracket to swap over. I'd post SUPER clear pics of my bracket to assure you it is in mint condition. All black except screws and the two mount plates that go to the steering neck....you can easily paint those plates black if you want. They're steel so none have a factory color...just plain silver.
