Absolutely love it...its a 2016 bought with 2K miles...i think i got a super deal on it at $10,499..still has factory warranty on it...ive never ridden a V4 and its a little different but now that im used to it im amazed...as for reliability i think this particular model is pretty reliable.

Well at least it has a low fuel light so you have some idea when you need gas.
Oh! Well, that's cool. Should be good enough anyway. I imagine you ride it for a bit and start to get a feel for when you need gas anyway. And even when you do lose track you've got the light. Just don't head out across Arizona or New Mexico and you'll be fine.

I wouldn't even want to push my bikes an eighth of a mile.I mean.If I had to I would.Damn sure aint gonna leave em sittin on the roadside.NFW.But even a low fuel light. That's just crazy.Who thought of 'no fuel gauge' for this great bike?Sheesh.Guess they truly did make it for the track,ya think?lol.Happy for ya Morg...enjoy.

Well it just so happens I will soon have one of these in my garage as well as my 14R.
Not sure what the year is but I believe its around 2007-2008.
A mate of mine who lives in Australia has a small apartment here in Queenstown and needs somewhere to store his Tuono.
Top bloke so I agreed to look after it for him and he's sending it over in the next 4-6 weeks.
I can ride it when ever I want.
He hardly gets here so it basically means I now have a fully paid for and maintained second bike to choose from.
Nice deal really...
Hey Morg, I've never ridden one of these.
At 2016, I know yours is a much later model with many changes, additives and improvements over the 2007-2008 (including a major engine modification) but what are they like to ride?

Absolute blast...funnest bike ive been on...very light feeling since the motor is not sticking out like an inline. Your model is a VTwin instead of V4. Probably 30 HP difference. If youve never ridden a VTwin its a different animal. It kinda stutters along at low RPM. Lots of torque though. Pretty comfortable riding position being handlebar equipped. Mine has all the Ohlins suspension so i cant give you a comparison on suspension. You will enjoy it but its very different than your 14.

Yeah pretty lucky though it is one of the older models without all the bells and whistles...
I know this is a pretty naive thing to say having not ridden one but I just can't see it being more fun for me than my 14R.
Are they that good?

Yannih my 14 just sits now if thats any indication. This will surprise you as did me but i did some roll-ons with me being on my 14 vs. my buddy on his Tuono and believe it or not we ran side by side up until 170 MPH when his quits. I was shocked until i got mine and fealt how powerfull it is. Theres no comparison how much better the Tuono handles on curvy roads.
To be fair at the time i weighed 245 lbs. and he weighed 180. Big difference between my total weight and bike weight vs. his.
But your looking at a 1352 cc vs. under 1077.

Dry weight shown for ZX14 is 480 lbs.
Dry weight for Tuono is 405.
Tuono has handlebars so its extremely more comfortable to me.
I think the Tuono being a V4 puts all the weight underneath you instead of on the side like an inline 4. It moves from side to side with the greatest of ease.
The sound is probably the most intoxicating part of it.
To me its the best looking bike ive seen that one can actually afford.
I dont know how to post this link below. Its a sound clip of the bike running if anyone else can post it for me.
