Fender Eliminator
11/01/09 1:16 AM

Fitted up an eliminator from Speed Tactics today.

Really pleased with the product/bracket and how its cleaned up the bike.
Sadly the licence plate whole pattern for Australia is different to USA so the LED lights aren't in the optimum position (couldn't re-drill the bracket - too narrow to accommodate our plates).

Only complaint with bracket as supplied - LED's diameter is larger than slots in the bracket so had to drill out the bracket and spoil their good finish (minor point).

Looks really good. That's next on my list but I will be trying the cheapy way - a couple corner braces and a stick up light.

Sounds like a good deal but I want to try the really cheap route. If it doesn't work, i'll ask if you still have the eliminator. I'm sure someone will grab it for that price though.

They're slip ons from Staintune.
Australian Co. & much cheaper for us over here than imports.
Top quality construction.
Come with baffles you can easily insert/remove to make them legal if needed.
Without the baffles their still not too loud to be annoying whilst riding.
System still pops when you back off from revs in 2nd gear which I like, but some people don't.

Hi Stimo, I am reading right when you say $100 in fines + point was this for the eliminator? Surely not?.
It is an essantial mod for any zx I would of thought. Just doesn't look quite right with the fender.
Maybe laws here in Tassie are a bit lacking. ( Thank God )
