Well, the Dakar rally is happening in Saudi Arabia. My favorite MotoGP Dakar rider,
Danilo Petrucci is racing in his first rally for Tech 3 KTM. He started well but had
a fuel pump failure in Stage 1A and basically had to withdraw. But he can still ride
the race to get experience. Yesterday he led Stage 2 and finished 3rd. Outstanding !
Check it out. Its pretty bad ass. Continues for 10 more days.

Not keeping up, meaning, did not research the words I heard. I was told he hit a rut and broke a leg, but still rode or something like that.

And now I hear this being 3rd in class? That's 10 days you daddy up and keep us posted. I'm too busy tormenting other sites. And guess who is coming to motoAmerica? Gotta remember, same source.

He suffered an electrical issue when switching from the front fuel tank to the rear. Pitt crew are pinning it on a bad fuse.

AND... some other team had a support vehicle explode. Driver got his legs pretty messed up.

Holy Fook
In the latest stage Danilo finished 2nd. Then the winner of the stage was penalized
for an infraction. So Petrucci won the stage as a rookie. Also the first GP rider in
history to win a stage of the Dakar Rally.
