Anyone use cycle gear rear stand without rear spools? I can't figure out how to do this.

Not sure if it helps mate, but heaps of guys put a block of wood under the side stand to assist with holding the bike vertical, then fit the stand.

I use (with spools) the Trackside rear paddock stand, bought it on sale ($29.00 dollars) two years ago.

Sweetfa65, thanks so much for that info. Was alot easier to put on rear stand with a block under the kickstand. Was SO much easier this time changing the oil. 15 mins done!

Koflaolivieri, is the trackside stand good enough to leave the bike on it
I only use mine for oil and chain maintenance. Others may have a different opinion on this, but I'm not sure I can trust leaving my bike on an aftermarket stand for a long period of time.

+1 Kofla. Some stands are not very stable at all. My race stands are absolutely rock solid (Pit Bull style). The bike is more stable on them than it is on it's wheels. I'm not a great fan of the bike resting on those rubber supports under the swing arm though. The bike just feels more solid on the hooks and lugs set up. A bike that is worth the money is also worth the money for good stands and parts. I guess it depends on your motivation. Economy, quality, or value and quality for money. Everyone's different. Just my 2c.
