Good days and poor...

What the hell is it that makes you flow through bends with great feel and be as one with the bike bringing great satisfaction one day, and then ride like an absolute dick the next resulting in disappointment?
I know there are good and bad days with everything we do and there is no concrete answer but man it's frustrating when it happens.
Today was a "dick" day for me...

For me it's all about being mentally alert ,and plenty rested. If I'm missing one or the other I don't ride. moral of the story: plenty of sleep/coffee= good ride

ugh, I must disagree. Nothing will kill my riding spirit like a speeding ticket. I guess if I got one for a few miles over that would be no big deal but I never have been stopped for a few miles over. In fact, I don't ever speed unless it's at least 40-50 over. A ticket like that will destroy me for at least a year.

I have my inexplicable bad days of riding too. The road and the weather are good but for some reason, I just don't have the feel of it. I never tried to push beyond my comfort zone on those days any more than I would on a good day. LOL have a crappy track day and that will really disappoint you!

I think that in every difficult endeavor you have days when you're in the "zone" and days when you're in the crapper. When I feel I'm just not in the right space in my head to safely ride, I just don't. But those days when the sun is shining, the air is crisp and you are bending the big girl into yet another smooth sweeper make up for the bad ones.

Just got back from yet another two day ride with the boys and happy to report that it was not a "dick" couple of days.
Just the opposite.
Came home very satisfied with my riding.

It seems to me that although I have the odd poor day, they are definitely few and far between and the fair to good days are by far the majority.

And that's a bloody good thing...
