Kaoko throttle lock
03/10/14 4:26 AM

I had read about the Kaoko throttle lock and then a few days later the Aus distributor had a stand at the Expo at the World Superbikes. There are lots of throttle locks on the market, but this one seemed to be high quality, and was available right there and then, so I bought one. It's probably more suited to touring, rather than a day ride, but when you need to flex your throttle hand a bit, this is the go.

They provide a replacement bar end weight with the friction nut to clamp the throttle - it's NOT a genuine cruise control. It was literally a 2 minute installation and I tested it on a ride yesterday and was quite satisfied. They are manufactured in South Africa, but have distributors worldwide

I have no affiliation with the company, just thought I'd share as this brand is new to the marketplace.

Nice. I use the Omni Cruise on my other bikes with satisfied results. Omni Cruise is $49.99, and well worth the price paid for the occasional rest of the throttle hand on a long day.

They are nice...I bought one last year...I ended up putting my Throttlemiester back on...something about that turnscrew was not too fluid a motion when holding the throttle to lock?IDK...just used to my Throttlemiester I guess. But good buy anyway....

I'm going to try rolling a couple Orings into the space between my throttle grip and the control pod. I bet that will work for a minute or two. couple $$.
